I put in a google search to find my dog a buggy as he had hurt his leg. At the time I had never heard of MonsterShop before. Whilst researching I found that MonsterShop had the best deal for my needs. Not only was the buggy cheaper than anywhere else, it was also very good value for money. As I had never heard of MonsterShop I did put them in Trust Pilot and once I realised they were a reputable company I purchased the buggy. I was able to pay via PayPal which is invaluable nowadays and then when I thought things couldn’t get any better my order arrived the very next day and was free delivery! I will definitely use MonsterShop again 👍🏼

I bought a T-MECH block splitter from Monster Group. To be fair, it arrived quickly, but unfortunately that is about the only positive thing I can say about the whole experience.

From day one, the block splitter did not work as I reasonably expected it to. I was not expecting perfectly smooth, razor-sharp cuts, but I did expect a block splitter to actually split a block roughly along the line where it was positioned.

Instead, the cuts regularly veer off to one side, the blocks shatter, and on numerous occasions the block has broken into three or four pieces rather than splitting along the intended line.

I tried contacting Monster Group by telephone. You get an answering service saying somebody will get back to you within 24–48 hours. Nobody did.

I then emailed them and received an automatic response saying somebody would reply within 24–48 hours. After waiting around a week without receiving a response, I emailed again asking why nobody had got back to me.

This time they eventually replied and asked me to provide a video showing the splitter cutting the blocks incorrectly. I sent them the video, only to be told that they believed the machine was “working fine”.

I questioned how it could possibly be described as working fine when the block is visibly not splitting along the intended line. Their response was effectively that if I wanted a razor-sharp cut I should use an angle grinder.

That completely misses the point.

I never expected an angle-grinder-quality finish. What I expected was a block splitter that would split a block reasonably straight along the intended cutting line, rather than veering off sideways or occasionally smashing the block into several pieces.

I purchased this machine specifically to split blocks. In my experience, it does not perform that basic job satisfactorily.

What has made the situation considerably worse is the customer service. Having to repeatedly chase a company just to get a response about what I believe is a faulty or unsuitable product is unacceptable.

I have now had to take the matter up with my credit card provider to try to get it resolved.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend the T-MECH block splitter and I would not purchase from Monster Group again.

If you are considering buying this block splitter, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
