Faulty product fell off on Day 1 — Pandora refuses to honor EU Consumer Law!
I purchased a Pandora bracelet featuring a Duomo di Milano charm at the official store in Milan (Receipt N. 1384-0001). To ensure this specific charm remained secured and fixed in the correct position on the bracelet, I specifically purchased two functional securing clips (paying an extra €62 each). Less than 24 hours later, one of these clips, which was essential for holding the Duomo charm in place, opened by itself and fell off due to a faulty clasp mechanism. This was not a loss due to misuse, but a structural failure of a functional piece of jewelry that I bought specifically to protect my purchase. I contacted customer service immediately, but the EMEA Customer Experience Manager (Bilyan) officially rejected my claim. Their excuse is completely absurd: they claim they cannot approve a replacement or refund because they "cannot physically inspect the lost item." How am I supposed to provide a piece for inspection if it was lost precisely BECAUSE their clasp mechanism failed on the very first day? Pandora is completely ignoring EU Consumer Law (Directive 2019/771) regarding the legal guarantee for faulty products. Shocking customer care and zero responsibility for selling defective luxury items. I am now forced to escalate this officially to the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net). Avoid this brand if you expect your jewelry to last more than 24 hours!
