Terrible. I'm an existing customer and they still haven't responded after four messages to them.

I've had a very positive experience with this platform. The quality of teaching is consistently high, and my teacher, Debbie, is fantastic. She is professional, patient, and makes every lesson engaging and enjoyable.
What I value most is the opportunity to improve my conversational skills while also working on grammar and more advanced topics as I progress. The lessons are well adapted to my level and goals.

The tutoring is exceptional and extremely enjoyable. I have been using the platform regularly for French since April 2025.
My 4 star review is for the platform itself - payment is clunky and problematic. If they could sort this out, it would be 5 stars all the way.

Generally very good standard of teaching. I do spanish with Eloisa and she is great. I really just want to practice conversation..which she will do but I'm now doing more grammar as starting c1 level. Very good prices and you learn about different cultures which you don't so much if you have a teacher in your own country

Learning Spanish with a native speaker is a completely new experience for me. Professor Carlos De la Paz Arroyo teaches me how to speak Spanish correctly with extraordinary patience and understanding, especially considering my age (66 years old).

Since I had previously been learning Spanish mainly with Duolingo, I did not realize how important conversation with another person really is. Fortunately, I found an excellent teacher.

I am also very grateful for the patience he shows while I am still struggling to use the whiteboard properly (especially the blue marker). Therefore, I would appreciate having detailed step-by-step instructions on what actions I should perform in order to complete the exercises correctly during the lessons. However, I know that this problem results only from my lack of experience in using the whiteboard.

Apart from that, I eagerly look forward to every new lesson, which proves to me that it is worth learning new things at any age.

We are a couple of israeli pensioners aged 75 and 80 studying spanish with IBOUX for the last 13 years. We like very much this service, the ease of selecting teachers, schedualing the classes and the level of teachers. We enjoy the quality of the technical tools of checking the system before entering the class and the excellent feature of "Past Class Review" which allows you to review all the corrections the teacher made during the class a long time after the class ended.
We take a one hour class together. We normally converse for 30 minutes and the the teachers reviews on screen the homework we sent to her. We use the site "Campus Difusion" which publishes everyweek an article regardin various actual subjects with a list of questions regarding the understanding of the text, IBOUX provides a good interface to send our two files of our answers.

My French teachers on Iboux have been terrific. My level of French has improved courtesy of their expertise, patience and encouragement. The IT support team at Iboux is always accessible and the platform is easy to use. I highly recommend Iboux for anyone who wants a positive language learning experience.

Quite flexible, good level of knowledge for the teachers

The teacher's quality is amazing and I really enjoy the material provided.

However, the platform is clunky and has major technical issues that make me think of changing learning app.

When trying to switch lesson plan from 1 hour to 30 minutes I cannot pay and the link expires every time. No matter what device and web browser I try.

Despite being in touch with the iboux team over several weeks, the replies are slow and no resolution can be found.

Would not recommend to anyone who has a learning goal they want to stick to with a smooth experience.

I still use Iboux academy. I have a handful of teachers that I really like working with. They are solid, true educators. They offer excellent instruction and continue you to push me into speaking more in my foreign language. However, the Iboux platform is really outdated and cumbersome to use.

The website in general is slow. If you need to read a message or grab a homework assignment, it takes longer than it should. It's a noticeable delay.

My biggest issue is scheduling. Because of the bugs and delays involved in the scheduling software, I try and reserve a block of time at the beginning of the month and confine that painful process to 30-60 min. In contrast, some of the other language apps, I can do on my phone in seconds. This is an area of improvement Iboux is aware of but has not invested in the user experience.

I truly hope Iboux continues to work on their platform. There is a lot of competition in this space with some other great applications that do language learning better. I would like to see Iboux succeed.

I started lessons in 2020 but didn't finish and just recently started back. It's great that lessons never expire. I needed current instructors added to my dashboard and customer service got back to me right away with an updated dashboard. They are always fast to respond to any of my queries. I've found an instructor I really like working with and am happy to be back to my french lessons.

Great teacher, great language materials, excellent software.
I am an English teacher by profession, and I am familiar with the different efficiencies and qualities of language teaching and learning.
I am also extremely happy with the flexible hour schedule, as I have a family and work to do in addition to learning French. I can warmheartedly recommend this application.

It’s so easy to book a slot that fits your schedule! Most English teachers are based in South Africa, so if you live in Europe, it’s really convenient to find a time in the same time zone.

The lessons are fully tailored to your needs, whether you prefer casual conversation or more traditional grammar-based lessons.

I’ve been taking classes for two years now, and it’s always a pleasure to start a lesson, never a chore. I’ve really noticed an improvement in my speaking skills since I joined Iboux.

I have been with iboux for 7 years and can’t say enough good things. I have never had a problem doing the lessons completely according to my needs. In addition, their lesson plans are up to date and relevant with today’s vocabulary and current events.

I had good and bad experience with iboux. The teachers change often, leave platform. It is impossible to form an ongoing relationship and observe progress.
In the beginning it was much better. Many teachers are not professional. Speaking the language doesn't mean teaching it.

Good but not super. The professors I met were all professional and kind. However, it was a bit haphazard with a variety of different tutors, and it started to feel like the educational equivalent of fast food. I needed something a bit more solid and nourishing. It really depends what you're looking for. I already live and work in France. I signed up for this course to work on my grammar, rather than to have conversations in French which I do every day of my life. But for someone who really needs the oral practice, this would be super.
