Bait and Switch... Think twice before giving Internxt your money.

I bought a 5TB Ultimate Lifetime plan in late 2024, and the main reason I bought in was the WebDAV support they advertised on Internxt Drive. Their desktop app is completely useless and broken, and the web client only manages to complete an upload maybe 10% of the time. Both are riddled with upload and download failures to this day. WebDAV was the only way I could reliably use the service, and it's exactly what I paid for.

Here's the part that should worry anyone considering a lifetime plan. Per the Wayback Machine, on Nov 26, 2024 Internxt's pricing page promised every lifetime plan "complete access to our award-winning privacy suite consisting of Internxt Drive, Send, and VPN." On that same date, their Internxt Drive product page advertised the CLI and WebDAV as a headline feature, "Use your preferred WebDAV client with the Internxt CLI," with no mention anywhere that it was restricted to a specific tier or excluded from lifetime plans.

Then in late 2025 they stripped WebDAV out of "legacy" lifetime accounts and told me the only way to get it back was to buy a second 5TB lifetime plan on top of the one I'd already paid for... they want another $880. Their help docs now claim legacy lifetimes never included WebDAV, CLI, or Rclone, which flatly contradicts how Drive was marketed when I bought in.

In consumer protection terms, that's the shape of a deceptive practices, breach of contract, and/or false advertising claim: advertise a feature, sell a "lifetime" plan promising full access to the product, remove the feature, then charge to restore it.

I'm not alone. Trustpilot is full of lifetime buyers who got the same "infrastructure changes require an upgrade" treatment around Oct 2025, several of whom bought specifically for WebDAV.

I was sold a lifetime plan, then paywalled a year later. Poor business practices and a poor product. Avoid.

Lifetime plans are a scam

Their lifetime plans are horrible.

I bought a 2 TB lifetime plan thinking I was getting an amazing deal. Instead, I ended up with a service that is practically unusable.

1. You can't upload individual files larger than 10 GB.
2. Photo sync on smartphones isn't included with the lifetime plan.
3. Impossible to have any folder larger than 1 GB anyway, because the upload speeds are awful.
4. Trying to manually upload more than 20 photos fails 100% of the time.

I genuinely regret spending the money.

Absolutely a scam.

don't buy anything from them

I will tell you a story about a company that never stands by what they write.
1. Some time ago, I bought a 100TB storage from them and saw that my files weren't uploading automatically. They told me that what I purchased doesn't support that.
2. During Black Friday, I bought additional storage from them to get all the options, but the deal they sent me via email and what was on the website weren't the same. I spoke with a representative, and he told me there was nothing to be done. In the end, I bought from them at a higher price.
3. Some time ago, I noticed that many of my files suddenly disappeared. I sent them a message, and they told me to upload everything again. The only problem was that when I uploaded, I thought my files were in a safe place, so I deleted them from my computer to make space. And guess what? They can't restore my files, even though the issue is on their end.

In short, don't buy anything from them.

restic/kopia/duplicati support missing

you can only backup with their own software. I wish they can soon implement a bridge for restic/kopia/duplicati and so on.

SCAM - you'll pay and then they'll slowly eradicate you

THIS IS A SCAM. Lifetime 20TB is real, if you upload very small files occasionally. If you use a 20TB space like one would expect to use a 20TB space - well, you won't be able. First, they bottleneck the speed at which one can upload and download. Then, they make sure it's hard to keep a session open to do a large upload. You have to keep a movie streaming or something else to keep Internxt working. Later, you'll get emails about restrictions that you supposedly accepted when you signed up. Now, you can't upload files larger than 10GB without "upgrading" your plan.
I've been with them for quite a while now, and I've just barely passed 6TB, so we aren't talking about someone who's abusing the system. If you have a lot of backups, music recordings, and video editing, you know it takes up a lot of space. If you want to offload that to the cloud using Internxt, you'll be at it for at least 1-2 years. But don't worry, you'll never complete it or make this a part of your development ecosystem, because they will see to that they take your money and then slowly erode their use until you're gone and you just gave them lots of money for nothing.
No customer service. Terrible service. Unusable solution.

You are an exception

In an era where, behind almost every customer service department, there is a machine or chatbot responding to customers in an impersonal and sometimes inaccurate way, The Internxt Team is, for me, a true exception.

They know how to reassure their customers and ease their concerns whenever technical issues arise, providing support that feels genuinely human — and often much faster — than automated services.

Since 2023, when I switched from OneDrive to Internxt, I have always received a prompt response whenever a technical issue came up. That is something I truly appreciate.

I am completely satisfied with the service, and especially with the quality of their customer support.

Thank you to the entire Internxt team! 🙏

This is most fraud ant company in the world. It is most stealing, a lot of thieves and they fraud you.
I bought the 5Tb lifetime plan and after some days the sync app did not work and I have to manually upload the files. I uploaded till 212 Gb and one day my account space was reduced to 1 Gb. This happened in just 1 month. I emailed on hello[@]internxt.com, but no reply . All my files were automatically deleted.
This is all scammers, thieves, smugglers people sitting inside the INTERNEXT.
Please do not buy anything from them.

Deceptive practices: Banned for using advertised features, refund withheld

Just a heads-up for anyone looking into Internxt's Lifetime deals. I purchased their 40TB Lifetime plan (spent over €1,600 directly with them).

Recently, I received an automated notice that my account is violating their "Fair Usage Policy" and will be suspended. The reason? I was using Rclone for private NAS backups. The kicker is that if you look at their pricing page and promotional emails, they literally advertise "NAS & Rclone support" as a premium feature to get you to buy these massive plans.

I confronted support. They offered a full, 100% refund of my original purchases in writing if I agreed to the account closure. I agreed and wiped my data to comply.

Now, they are refusing to pay back €1,137 of the €1,672 total. Their excuse? They recently "changed their payment gateway" and claim their system can only automatically refund payments made in 2025. I suggested a simple, manual SEPA bank transfer or a manual PayPal payment to settle the debt. They flat out refused, stating that a partial refund is their "final offer" and they will take "no further action".

They fully refund third-party buyers (like StackSocial) but withhold money from direct premium customers using an internal IT gateway change as an excuse.

If you are considering trusting them with your data or your money for a "Lifetime", be extremely careful. I am currently preparing my case for the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net). Has anyone else experienced this specific "gateway" excuse with them recently?

Scammy pricing, and the quality is just pure trash.

My story:

I bought the first 1 year of storage for a very cheap price. Like with 80% or 90% off, and it was only like $0.8 per month or something like that.

And for that price, it was like "meh". It was NOT fast, it was very slow, sometimes even opening the website was slow. It didn't save your passwords, etc. But I was like okay, for this price, it is acceptable.

BUT then at the end of the first year, I found out that AFTER THAT, it's $9.99. But when I bought the first year, literally nowhere was it said that they are going to charge me this much after that. Obviously if I knew, I would have NEVER subscribed, because you need storage for a long term, not for only one year.

And for this quality of service, I would NEVER pay $9.99 A MONTH. LIKE NEVER!

So after the first 12 months, I had to cancel my subscription and move all of my data to other storage websites.

I believe if they were MORE TRANSPARENT, and more consistent about the pricing, it would be better. People buy cloud storage for a long time. If you "scam" them into buying the first year for a VERY CHEAP price compared to other storage websites, and then try to charge them 10 times more than other cloud services, then obviously you won't get long term subscribers.

This is a BAD business model. Not to mention the quality of your service is NOT GOOD. Like it's not something I would recommend to anyone. I used Mega.nz, and Kdrive, and those two were way better in usage, they were way faster and easier and comfortable than Internxt. I would NEVER use Internxt again, and I don't recommend anyone using it again.

We COULD say that it's kind of scammy, and the quality is just pure trash.

Unexpectedly good

I don't give a lot of these. Have had reliable, high quality cloud coverage from internxt for a while. Had an issue about file upload sizes, which staff were able to address quickly. Can say they're setting a standard I am content to hold other services up to. Definitely happy as a customer.

Rough around the edges but very good

Rough around the edges but very good.
At the moment of writing, it lacks Email, The Meeting works only on PC (Doesn't have an app for Phone) I imagine it could have an App such as Jitsy or similar for Meeting.
CLI & WebDav are available but not rsync isn't available yet.
The encrypted VPN doesn't have many locations and cannot be accessed via OpenVPN or Wireguard, it's an add-on for the browser, which is a bit lacking.

The Internxt drive is good but it's a bit counter intuitive, unlike Mega.nz and others which you can synchronize "a single folder" per computer.
Internxt doesn't have an easy way to do it. "Sync only THIS folder on THAT PC" isn't possible
(This way you can have your Home PC with its "Documents" folder, your gaming PC with Savegames folder)

And the VPN is "Browser only VPN" (more like a proxy) to a few locations.
I paid the lifetime plan and I don't regret. Worth it but it could be better. I'm counting on you Internxt Team! Keep improving!
