My previous setup was a blackout blind plus thick curtains and there was still a strip of sunlight every morning. This has been a much better solution because it deals with the edges instead of just covering the middle of the window. The room looks less cluttered too. Opening and closing it is easy and nothing feels flimsy. It’s made our bedroom much nicer for sleeping in.

It took a little while to arrive because mine was made to size but I knew that when ordering. Everything came well packed and without any marks. Once fitted I could see why getting the measurements right matters because there is barely any light coming around the sides.

It was a wonderful expericenc. They helped me through out.

Shipping takes forever. Way longer than the quoted times. Give yourself at least 3 more weeks than they tell you. Having someone in the house who works nights, it would have been nice if they arrived when they said they would. Would have gone with another company. Customer service is slow and vague. Can't get accurate tracking information or the carrier who will be delivering them. Still waiting.

Shipping took a really long time, but the product is great. It blocks out light, it’s kept heat out really well. My daughter’s room window is a western facing window and we’re in Texas, so before these blinds, it would struggle to stay below 74 in there. Now it easily stays at 68-69 even in the 105 degree weather. I would recommend these.

I ordered one first because I wasn’t sure whether the difference would justify changing the rest of the bedrooms. After seeing how dark the first room became I went back for another.

They fit well and keep out most of the light, the fit is not as perfect as they look in the advert, but the team have been very helpful at rectifying it, so cant really fault.

The order was weeks and weeks late. I contacted them and said either give me a discount or cancel the order, they did neither. It has been 5 weeks and still no blinds. I do not recommend this vendor.

Packaging was good and all the parts arrived clean and undamaged. Instructions were easy enough to follow without watching ten different videos first.

Very good blackout once installed. I spent more time double checking the measurements than actually fitting it but I’d rather do that than end up with the wrong size. Delivery could have been quicker but the finished blind is worth keeping.

The materials feel solid and the frame doesn’t look cheap. It has a fitted look rather than something temporary stuck over the window.

I finally got my halo blinds delivered today (8/26/26) after ordering them about a month ago. It took over an hour to put together with 2 people. The frame is flimsy! I found several gaps where the light was coming through but most of that reason is because I have block walls and they’re even & perfect. I took pictures of other gaps from the factory. I’m not too thrilled with these black out blinds. All around the window I had to use 2” black duck tape to make it truly blackout. I don’t see a place where I can attach photos to this review of the factory made gaps.

Tracking was updated throughout the order and I could see when it had moved from production to shipping. Nothing complicated and the package arrived in good condition.

I work some late shifts and sleeping during the day has always been difficult for me. There used to be bright lines around both sides of my old blind even when it was completely closed. This one sits much closer around the whole window so the difference during the afternoon is huge. I’m not reaching for an eye mask every time I sleep now.

Product is from China but well made, however the measurements I gave were not kept and the blind does not fit snug enough to fit it without fixings. The website promised help and a new blind if the measurements were wrong, up to press I have been unable to get a response from my message via their website. On emails a person called Mick has been in touch but the only advice is that they can send some thicker sealing strip. This may block out light but will not help securing the blind. I will continue to send messages and hopefully someone will make contact.

Edited for a reply to Mick. Unbelievable that you respond to a less than perfect review but do not respond to emails and forms completed on the website. You even have my contact details. You have had everything sent to you, measurements, photos, order number (which is 1811) but still I am chasing you. It would be professional if you would call me, not avoid my emails. I look forward to having a reply to my many emails and a resolution to this issue. 28/08/2026

Update 02/09/2026. After chasing assistance via emails (no telephone numbers available, but I did leave my number but nobody called me) Halo sent me an email telling me they were refunding 30%, no further offer of sending the blind back for a full refund or sending a replacement. Due to timescales I had to use fixings to secure the blind so it wasn't installed as easily as I thought, I had to offer the customer some compensation (and I had to buy the additional fixings). I sent another email telling them about this and eventually a 50% refund was offered. I di not have any more time to debate this so I accepted and the refund was completed within5 days. As I said before, this was a shame as the product is good and if the measurements are correct and Halo make them to the correct size they work well. I am uncertain on whether I will use them again.

I work nights and sleep from late morning into the afternoon so blackout is more than just a nice feature for me. Curtains helped but sunlight still came through around them. With this setup the whole window area is covered much better. I’ve had fewer mornings where daylight wakes me after only a few hours of sleep.

Our nursery gets direct morning sun and normal blinds were leaving bright gaps down the sides. We wanted something that would make naps easier without hanging another curtain over the window. Halo has made the room properly dark and it also feels less hot when the sun is hitting that side of the house. Very happy we changed it.

Installation was simpler than I expected. No drilling. No toolbox scattered across the floor and it was fitted pretty quickly.

Customer service helped me check one of my measurements before I ordered. They explained which measurement I needed without making it confusing. That little bit of help probably saved me from ordering the wrong size.

I'm really happy with how easy Halo blinds made the whole process. The instructions for setting everything up yourself were clear and simple to follow, so there was no stress about getting it wrong.
What really impressed me is that the blackout blinds are made speacifically for your window. As long as you measure correctly, you get a perfect fit every time. And once it's up, it blocks out light completely, which can be a game changer for night shifts and for keeping the baby's room dark for naps. Highly recommend if you want a proper blackout without a hassle.
