The bad experience and not cheap as they promote
The Only thing was great, was the pilot! Great flight! Well done Captain! But the experience, shows that wonderful price and experience, but wasn’t! since the check in, your attendant are very rude e no polite and patient with the costumers , don't give them attention or kind when we have questions! After that on the plane, the fly attendant are the worst ones! No smiles, no nice, very aggressive when we asked for something and the worse part, they pass with the cart( food cart) between the aisles without paying attention on the passengers legs, they kicked me 2 twice and not even “excuse me” they said! Just looked me liked “get off your leg from there”! Happened to me twice in my flight from JFK to Athens and on the back flight too, Athens to JFK!
The other unexpected thing was Water and coffee you MUST PAY! this is absurd! I understand the ideia of this cia, but it’s not that cheap rate that they promote ! i made counting, and every thing i payed and the flight ticket was the same as American Airlines, that cia im being treat like a queen with so many respects in more the 20 years! Treat passengers like a person, not like a numbers!
Very disappointing and first and will be the last experience i will have!
Exploitative and greedy business model
This model of doing business has to be something you are comfortable with.
For this airline you are basically a commodity, not a person or even a customer.
The airline tries to get the most amount of $ out of you, charging you for every single aspect of the travel experience. You have to pay extra for the most basic things, like a glass of water or earbuds ($5 on the flight). The model only 'cares' when you pay. It feels exploitative and inhumane.
The seats were also extremely uncomfortable. Again, within this model they will pack customers like sardines. The airline doesn't care about your comfort level. It only cares about how much they can charge you to avoid their extremely uncomfortable seats. It should be illegal to make seats this small and uncomfortable.
If you don't mind a host that can't even offer you a free cup of water on a 9 hour flight then this airline is for you.
My Gatwick to Orlando experience
These reviews just got to show that people will only really complain rather than leave good reviews. I was very worried about flying Norse from reading all these reviews, but it was really not that bad. You get what you’re paying for, it’s a low budget long distance airline, yes you don’t get all the amenities you would with Virgin and BA but that’s the deal. Baggage allowance is very fair, and food is no different to your average economy meal. A decent selection of entertainment although not many new releases (not the end of the world). Staff were lovely and helpful. Very decent bit of leg room and I’m someone who’s sometimes affected. I would say for the price I paid I believe I the service was adequate. I would consider flying again if the price is right
Booked a last minute flight to the US…
Booked a last minute flight to the US with Norse, booked economy-light - had no idea there was a sub-economy class where there's no food served on a 7 hour flight, now I know. I fly in less than 48 hours so I'm in the app - cant find where to add meals (for a charge). I try look for a phone number - they havent got one (having a phone number should be a requirement for airlines). This is obviously where I realised I had made a mistake booking with this airline. I hop on the chat in the app - 'I need to speak to someone'. It logs a ticket - reply in 1-3 days!? I try again, same result. I ask it if I can purchase meals - it say yes - Great! I go through the process - technical error! Cant purchase meals. I try to speak to someone again - 1-3 days waiting time.
At this point a customer support person would have said - 'you can only buy meals on the website, and it has to be min 24 hours before the flight'. By the time I realise its too late.
So here I am - £1K+ for a flight, and no food, even if I wanted to pay for it.
I wont book with this airline again, but if you do, make sure you wont need them for anything, ever.
Don't book!
Norse cancelled my flight to Los Angeles without even telling me. Months after I am still waiting a refund....solicitors will be involved. Shameful!

I booked a flight from London to New York and Norse cancelled it without telling me and then refused to refund me for 9 months until I threatened legal action. Very sketchy
Check in was extremely inconvenient jfk
Check in was extremely inconvenient. If you want to fly without carry ons do not fly this airline. Nothing fits and they are over priced for a checked carry on 85$ for a carry on is to much. There was no clear communication and all the coroners were all over the place trying to good luggage I would never again
Cancelled flight to LAX
Cancelled flight to LAX - said in email reimbursement would be given but have ignored all emails and prompts. There is no number to call and only an AI chat bot on the website which is useless. Now having to pursue reimbursement through small claims court. Absolutely disgusting customer service, shocking they’re allowed to get away with this.
⭐ 1 Star
⭐ 1 Star – A Terrible Experience with Norse Atlantic Airways
This was honestly one of the worst airline experiences I have ever had, especially travelling with a baby and children.
The seats are extremely uncomfortable, and the legroom is awful. I spent most of the flight feeling uncomfortable and struggling to find a comfortable position while holding my baby. Travelling with a baby on this airline was an exhausting and unpleasant experience.
The food service was also a complete mess. They kept going back and forth with the food service, while children on the plane were left waiting. What was even more frustrating was that it felt like sales were being prioritised over passengers who were simply trying to get their meals.
If you have already purchased a flight that includes food, you would expect the meal service to be organised and available to passengers without having to deal with such a chaotic process.
Overall, the experience was extremely uncomfortable and stressful. The lack of legroom, uncomfortable seats, and poorly organised food service made the flight feel much longer than it actually was.
I definitely would not recommend Norse Atlantic Airways, particularly if you are travelling with a baby or young children.
Shocking customer service
Absolutely worst airline
They cancelled my booking and insisted that I did it! Can’t get my money back even though I paid by credit card
Children left hungry and family harassed over a paid meal
Children left hungry and family harassed over a paid meal
My family traveled from Athens to New York on Norse Atlantic Airways Flight N0 501 on Sunday, August 23, 2026. We paid extra in advance for meals for both of our children. However, Norse’s booking system did not provide any option to choose a vegetarian, chicken, or non-beef children’s meal.
Our children were served beef noodles. We are Hindu, have never eaten beef, and consuming beef is against our religious beliefs. I clearly explained this to the cabin crew, but instead of respecting our restriction and offering a suitable alternative, they continued pressuring us to accept the beef meals.
The crew then gave our children adult chicken meals that were extremely salty and appeared partly raw and undercooked. The same chicken meal ordered for my husband was so salty and poorly prepared that he could not eat it, and we had to throw it away.
I repeatedly asked for two simple noodle cups that were available on the aircraft. Each cup cost approximately $10, so two cups would have cost about $20. This was never about the money. We only wanted something our children could safely eat during an approximately 10-hour international flight.
A flight attendant named Rihana spoke to us aggressively and prevented another flight attendant from giving the noodles to our children. Later, when I was returning from the restroom, Rihana confronted me, blocked my path, and continued speaking to me aggressively. I repeatedly asked her to stop harassing me and allow me to return to my seat. I felt humiliated, intimidated, and unsafe.
A senior crew member eventually agreed to provide two noodle cups. However, even after waiting throughout the entire flight, the noodles were never delivered. The flight ended with my children still not receiving any suitable food, despite our having paid extra for their meals.
This was not simply a meal-service mistake. Our clearly explained religious dietary restriction was disregarded, our children were pressured to accept unsuitable food, another crew member was prevented from helping us, and I was confronted and blocked near the restroom.
We travel internationally regularly and have never experienced this level of hostility and disrespect from an airline crew. I have requested a formal investigation into Rihana’s conduct, a refund for the meals, appropriate compensation, and an explanation of why Norse does not offer vegetarian or non-beef children’s meal choices.
Based on this nightmare experience, I cannot recommend Norse Atlantic Airways.

Flew with these horrible people on a charter from Gatwick. Plane left over 3 hours late but I am still waiting for the standard compensation I'm due of £220 per person. No replies to emails, no phone numbers anywhere. Utter disgrace
Non-Existant Customer Service (after overbooking)
The only good thing I can say is that the airline had enough courtesy to bump me from my flight three weeks out, letting me secure other arrangements.
It took them the full three weeks to get back to me (their only customer service line is email) to tell me that, yes, I'm legally entitled to book an alternate flight, which I did, and I filed a claim via their website.
Their website said it would take two months to resolve claims, which I gave, and then some, and after no response to additional emails, I was forced to file an alternate dispute resolution claim, where they finally responded and settled for what I originally wanted: for them to cover my alternate travel.
They then failed to refund me, citing a "higher volume of payments than usual," and pushed payment by a further three months.
The original rebooking occurred in December of 2025, and it has been a full year, and I have not received any money back. If you do choose to fly Norse, remember that if anything goes awry (likely by Norse's own doing), they will make sure they don't even meet the low legal standards set by the government. I will never fly Norse again.
Nightmare company
Nightmare company ! Flight was delayed in January and compensation was request. Norse agreed to compensate but still 8 months later nothing has been received !
I have sent recorded letters to their head office but not heard one word back !
Does anyone have a telephone contact number for Norse UK please ?
Don’t fly with these crooks
Don’t fly with these crooks. If anything goes wrong you won’t get compensation and will deeply regret your choice.
Trust me, it might look cheaper but the cost could be much much greater
Norse Airlines, unreliable, bad communication, dodgy overall
A couple of months after booking a return flight with Norse, both my flight times were changed, the one flight was on a different day. They gave me an option to cancel which I did, but I was not refunded the travel insurance portion. I tried to claim this back directly with XCover and via my bank credit card, but was unsuccessful.
Never again Norse!
⭐ 1/5 — Never Again: FCO–JFK August 18, 2026
I had a very pleasant experience with Norse Atlantic in 2025, which is why I booked them again. My August 18, 2026 flight from Rome FCO to JFK, departing at 7:05 p.m., could hardly have been more different.
After an extremely long walk to the boarding area, I expressed frustration. Instead of handling that professionally, the interaction escalated to the point where a flight attendant told me she needed to consult the captains about whether I would even be permitted to fly.
I was not threatening anyone or creating a safety issue. I was an exhausted paying passenger expressing frustration. I found the escalation intimidating and completely disproportionate.
The onboard service was equally disappointing. I received my preordered diabetic meal promptly, although it was mediocre and accompanied by only a tiny bottle of water. My teenage daughter did not receive her regular meal even though it was included in her airfare. I had to specifically ask for it.
Most astonishingly, on a roughly 9.5-hour transatlantic flight, we were not proactively offered water or drinks. Basic hydration should not require passengers to chase down the crew.
We paid approximately $750 per person for a one-way FCO–JFK ticket. At that price, I do not consider basic meal service, access to water, and professional treatment unreasonable expectati
The flight then required a second landing attempt at JFK, adding still more stress to an already awful experience.
I am a seasoned international traveler and travel agent. I will never fly Norse Atlantic again and will caution my clients and others who ask me about the airline.
I flew Star Alliance on my outbound journey. That is where I will be taking my business in the future.
Check-in staff at Gatwick
Your check in staff at Gatwick
London absolutely rock!!!
Calm, professional, knowledge. Just downright awesome people.
Huge thanks to the two ladies (sorry i didn't get names) that helped me with last minute ESTA issues when I travelled today with my two young daughters.
Thank you thank you.
Gatwick to New York
I recently flew to New York from London Gatwick,on the way we were upgraded which was lovely but there and our return flight were wonderful. The staff were all lovely, seats were very comfortable.I would be happy to fly with Norse Atlantic anytime, superb airline
Aa a party of 10 persons we were booked…
Aa a party of 10 persons we were booked to fly out from Gatwick to Orlando using cruise .co.uk as our agents
Weeks running up to a fly date we were repeatedly told by Cruise.co.uk that they had used Norse airlines many times and never had any negative feedback back about this airline company.
We pointed out on more than one occasion the fact that this airline company has a very negative feedback score
On August 03 2026 and with a scheduled departure time of 14:00 we board and indeed at approximately 14:35 headed from the taxi way to our runway .
They stopped, with the captain information us that a repair sheet hadn’t been signed off , so we would have to return to the gate to get the paperwork completed and this would take approximately 30 minutes
This was not the case the airline appeared to release this aircraft with its fault back into service, resulting in in a further hour and half before another announcement from the captain that the only way to get to Orlando today was to disembark this plane and moved to a spare
He stated that he would hope to complete this operation within 45 minutes hour most
This flight actually left for Orlando at 18:35 and can be confirmed by looking Flight aware tracking and history
To compound and make matters worse whilst walking around at the terminal waiting for their replacement plane and knowing that the company was all over the media a week before as a rescue plan with Indigo had fallen through one of their own members of staff when asked we they still be flying on 18th August 2026 their response was ‘should be’
As a footnote I have just contacted Cruise . co.uk to voice my opinion and concerns about this airline .
Having sung their praise for the passes three months their own representative couldn’t wait to tell us all most butting before I had finished my sentence swiftly and and proud to announce the fact that’ oh we don’t use them anyone’
They don’t even deserve any stars
