We’re sorry to see this review, but we would like to clarify that we did not refuse to assist you.

The Royal Mail tracking clearly showed the parcel as delivered, which meant we could not simply issue an immediate replacement or refund without first following the appropriate non-receipt investigation process.

When a customer advises us that a parcel marked as delivered was actually left at the wrong address or cannot be located, we have to rely on the courier’s delivery records and follow their claims procedure. A delivery scan showing as completed has to be formally challenged and investigated rather than disregarded.

We appreciate that you believe the parcel was delivered incorrectly and understand how frustrating that is. However, this was not a case of us simply refusing to help or ignoring the matter. The tracking information available to us showed a successful delivery, so further evidence and investigation were required before any refund or replacement could be considered.

We are always willing to assist with genuine delivery issues, but we must follow the proper process when the courier records show that a parcel has already been delivered.

Dear Margaret,

We’re sorry to see this review, but we would like to clarify what actually happened.

Your order was not “wrongly flagged”. It was flagged by our fraud-prevention system for additional verification, which is there to protect both customers and our business from unauthorised transactions.

Within approximately 12 hours of your order being placed, we contacted you requesting some additional information to confirm that the transaction had genuinely been authorised by you. We would actually consider this good customer service — rather than simply processing a transaction that had been flagged, we took the extra step of trying to verify it first.

Unfortunately, we did not receive any response to our verification request, so we were unable to safely fulfil the order.

The order was subsequently cancelled and refunded.

We completely understand that the order was intended as a gift for someone visiting England, but without the requested verification we could not simply ignore the security flag and dispatch the goods.

We therefore feel that describing the service as “terrible” is unfair when we contacted you promptly, attempted to verify the order for your protection, and ultimately refunded the payment when verification was not completed.

We’re sorry that your shipment experienced such a significant delay, but we would like to clarify how this matter was handled.

When tracking stopped progressing, we opened an investigation with the shipping company. Unfortunately, while a courier investigation is ongoing, we have to wait for their findings rather than simply assuming that a parcel is lost and immediately sending a duplicate shipment.


Once the matter was concluded, a refund was issued to you - well before 42 days.

We also subsequently emailed you regarding the resolution and received no response.

We completely understand your frustration with the length of time involved, though it was not 42 day. However, it is important to clarify that we did not simply ignore the issue or keep your money — we investigated the missing shipment and ultimately refunded your order.
