Le Sirene

Checked into the Le Sirène site late yesterday. Unit 715. Advised that there was a parking space outside my unit, however I found it impossible to park, while at the same time being able to access the vehicle doors/boot. Access to the unit itself is severely restricted post parking. This unit was supposed to be the ultimate model which I paid over twice the price of the comfort model for. I am advised by the rep that it is an ultimate model however the unit itself and the exterior decked area bear little resemblance to the photos displayed when booking. On to the interior, which appeared ok on first inspection but after a closer look, I found that it hadn’t been cleaned properly with cobwebs and flies in a number of locations in the kitchen and bathroom with wallpaper peeling from the walls. The door to the bunk room is off its rails. The toilet seat/cover won’t stay up. Insulation tape holding batteries in badly, on the remote for the TV. All in all, I am not very happy. The eurocamp rep on duty today in Le Irene, who was very nice, advised that she would talk to her manager but was unable to give me a timeline for resolution of the highlighted issues.

Eurocamp are great

Straightforward & easy to book with. This is my second year in a row to stay at one of their resorts. If you have young kids they will love it as they have everything in the resort to keep the kids entertained.

We had a Super Dirty Lodge in Bella Italia

We had a Super Lodge in Bella Italia. The Lodge was a dump. Full of vug including a hornets nest in the kids room which they did get rid of. Also we had a second nest they didn't get rid of. We had to let the queen hornet out every morning. We compartment and they got cleaners around the next day that swept the floor and removed one near. But they failed to clean under anything. The floors in places had thick layers of dust. Full of flying bugs and spiders on the canvases, windows and doors. Ants nest in the main room on the main post.Basic equipment. White stains on the main bedding that looked a few weeks old. We complained to the reps who fed back to head office that didn't care. We got no follow up calls to check we were okay. They literally didn't care about us, only our money. I wouldn't recommend anyone use this company.

More freedom than a hotel

Euro camp bungalows are basic but if you like the leisurely approach to a holiday they are ideal.
El fresco dining under shade is perfect although some decking needs replacing.
The toilets in the bungalows however are very tight and cramped so usually you end up with the door open so if sharing with another couple or older children it’s not private.
Air conditioning works a treat.
Using the site shower facilities if there is one near you is better as bungalow shower only good if you are a child or tiny person.
Losing the on site meet and greet is a shame as any problems with the van you need to contact the reception and they do not pick up the phone. The site also has their hands tied with making any changes to your booking so you have to phone UK support who sometimes can not help either

Mostly positive

While we had some issues with our holiday, specifically our accommodation, the eurocamp team were very helpful in taking our complaint and offering us a partial refund.
Look forward to booking with them again.
The prices of the parks are excellent value for money. The booking system over the phone suited us best .
Staff at the park itself need to be better trained, especially when complaints are made.
They also need to address the issue of staff or lack of at the pools. An incident occurred while we were there and there was no staff member in sight. These issues have been raised with the team we booked with so hopefully this won't happen again .

We had a lovely week in Union Lido

We had a lovely week in Union Lido, as we are an active family and you need to be active to cover the ground at this huge site. Our accommodation felt a little cramped this time and the mattress and pillows were practically non existent. I did request extra pillows and our rep was more than helpful with any requests. Unfortunately our son's friend hit his head off the pool on the rapid slide in speedy park and required an a&E visit to get stitches and x-rays. Reception were somewhat helpful but accepted no responsibility and we've heard since that several people have been injured on that same slide in recent weeks.
