Produce quality is not great, delivery is HORRIBLE
The produce they send is often barely fresh when it is received. I used to check all the ingredients for every recipe to see if they were going bad, and often would find slimy or moldy greens. If you are giving people meals for three days (at least) you would hope that the meals will last for three days, but that is rarely the case. They try to make the disclaimer that 'organic' food is a little more unpredictable, but I don't know how that explains eggs that are one half the size of a supermarket small egg, they looked more like quails eggs. And the sloppy packing can lead to things like potatoes completely covered in dirt (not a problem if they are separate) being packed with something like an unwrapped cauliflower, which leads to a hell of a mess to clean up. But, the very worst part is the delivery company has the most wildly inaccurate delivery times I have ever seen. Even when it is hours after the prior 'early' time estimate they don't update it. And usually the actual time will be significantly past the 'latest' possible delivery time. If you pay 6 euros for delivery then it should be a little better than that. Ekomenu appears to prefer to overcharge for poor service and poor quality food than to actually build a loyal customer base.
Their recipes are better and more realistic than other meal boxes, but just about everything else is well below an acceptable standard. Should've checked trustpilot before signing up.
