2015 Land Rover Discovery engine rebuild
My 2015 Land Rover Discovery had engine failure in Nov 2025, To fix major engine faults the whole body has to be lifted of the chasse and no local garage was prepared to tie up their vehicle lift for the period of time required to rebuild the engine. I was advised to scrap it! This was not acceptable to me and after some research I found Engine Reborn. Danny was quick to respond to my enquiry, with a full explanation of the process. My vehicle was collected and the engine rebuilt replacing a cracked crank shaft, the turbos and many other parts. My lovely Discovery is now working well and I am a happy customer. Communication and end result was good and I can recommend Engine Reborn Ltd.

thanks so much for kindly taking the time to leave us such a great review, yes it is indeed correct that these vehicles need to be separated from the chassis when working on the engines, this can be a challenge for some however we work on so many of these great vehicles now that we are accustomed to it and allow for the space required. The team were able to get your 65 plate Land Rover Discovery with a 3 litre diesel engine running beautifully after a total engine failure, you have been a fantastic customer as it really takes good communication on both sides to reach the end of a successful build, it’s a real shame that so many of these great vehicles end up scrapped and we are so happy that your trust in us with your beloved vehicle has been adequately rewarded

Hi Abigail, yes indeed a very unexpected development occurred during the early stage of what was set to be a straightforward rebuild, our team began to notice quite a few abnormalities and what appeared as a really bad modification turned out to be much worse as it soon became apparent that a rather unscrupulous person had fitted a Gen 1 engine into your Gen 2 vehicle, this was catastrophic as we couldn’t rebuild without going way beyond the cost benefit threshold that would be viable for this vehicle, we were happy to discuss this with all involved and we wish you all the best with your future vehicle purchases
Best service ever
Best service ever. When I was looking for a company to give my Range Sport an engine rebuild after bottom end damage, I was a bit reluctant to send it over to someone who I had never used before, like most people. Danny from Engine Rebuild was very polite and confident in dealing with this. He explained in detail the procedure that once the car was collected, they would keep me updated with images and videos form start to finish. From the engine in and then after it had been removed, plus all the parts once in bits. Which they did. Very reassuring for the customer.
I have had the vehicle back for just over 5 months now and its running and sounding like a new car.
Definitely recommend this company for any engine work.

There were a few unexpected electrical faults when we got the car back but Engine Reborn fixed them in good time. We’ve had the car back now for several months now and the car is running perfectly. Collected my Range Rover sport from where it broke down and rebuilt most of the engine. Kept us updated with photos of the work and parts that were replaced. All now working as it should, great service, would use again and would recommend.

40 year old Jaguar XJ6.
I trusted my 40year old Jaguar XJ6 to Danny and his team and I was not disappointed. Initially my engine was to be rebuilt by Engine Reborn but after removal and strip down the cylinder head proved to be pretty much non serviceable. The cost to rebuild and supply a new cylinder head would have been colossal. I managed to find a donor car with a bad body but good engine. Danny agreed to receive the complete car, remove the engine and fit to my car. This was carried out efficiently and in a professional manner. The only down side was the water pump was not changed from my original engine to the donor engine, so this is a job to be done in the near future. I understand why this was not carried out as Danny was aware the donor was good and did not want to compromise that, I guess. The whole process from receiving my car to it being delivered took 5 months and I was always mindful of the room the cars were taking up. Danny kept me informed with videos and phone calls. Obviously no guarantee with this engine. Overall I am more than happy the final result and would use their services again. I have just started the car up after leaving it for a week and she started up on first turn of the KEY. Thanks Danny to you and your team.

Your beautiful classic car a well preserved Jaguar XJ6 came to us with total catastrophic engine failure after 40 years of service we were determined to get this amazing car back on the road. The engine rebuild once we had opened the engine and found the extent of the damage was going to be cost prohibitive so we continued dialogue with you to find the best way forward. In the end we agreed to do something that we don’t normally do which was to remove an engine from the doner car you had found and re site it in your own beloved car. This took a great deal of time and patience and again we don’t normally do this due to space and time but this was such an outstanding car we felt honoured to complete it to the best of our abilities, we are so glad we were able to keep you and the car on the road for many years to come

After many others companies, I had a conversation with Engine Rebourn (Danny). His description of the entire procedure, was truthful, and refrained from pursuing the business. My Land Rover was returned to me last month. He had good communication, and sent a number of pictures and videos showing the progress. Discovery rebuild at 48000 miles
Had a complete engine failure in my Discovery at 48000 miles - new crankshaft, cam shaft, turbos, con rods (the list goes on) later, I have my car back and have just completed the rebuild running in mileage. I have been very impressed with these guys from the start. Wonderfully efficient, no BS and have lived up to what they said they could do. Video and photos every step of the way highlighting damage on key components enhanced the level of trust that vehicle was at the right place.

Discovery crankshaft
Recently had our Discovery in for engine rebuild. From the first contact the guys at Engine Reborn have been great. Communication every step of the way, videos to show progress. Quick repair considering the huge amount of work put into the rebuild. Not pleased Landrover produce cars that snap crankshafts at 90,000 miles, but ER made the process of repair as smooth as it could be. Well done and thank you.

Great outcome!
The engine on my Kia Sportage G-tdi failed and the Kia main dealer wanted an exorbitant amount just to diagnose what they already knew! I had been complaining about excessive oil consumption for many months whilst in warranty however the engine failed outside of warranty so I went on the hunt for an alternative solution. Having reviewed 10 quotes and digested the reviews I chose Engine Reborn.
Their communication, quality of work and service are excellent. Yes, there were additional costs once they got the engine apart and could fully diagnose the full scale of the issues however; comms were great, explanations forthcoming, quality of work top notch and deadlines met.
From my experience - Danny and team are a safe pair of hands and you get what you pay for.
I'm writing this review 6 months after the rebuild and can confirm, my Kia has never driven as well as it does today. I can recommend Engine Reborn as an organisation who delivers, what they promise.

I can not fault their work or their integrity. In feb 2025 my engine died and the decision was to get a 2nd hand lump or get mine reconditioned.
