Honestly, I do not think I have dealt with a worse bank when it comes to compliance. It genuinely makes me wonder if their five star reviews are bought, because my experience was nothing like that.
First, the fees are steep. On top of that, my uncle transferred money into my account to help me cover some bills. It showed up the same day but was immediately frozen pending verification and some compliance questions, which I understood, since checks like that are meant to protect customers.
I answered every question they asked. I provided proof of where the money came from, and when they asked for evidence of my relationship with my uncle, I sent screenshots of our chat history. These were conversations from weeks and months earlier that clearly showed we were family, plus the message where he confirmed he had sent the funds. None of it was staged for the bank. It was all older, genuine conversation. Despite that, they then asked for documentary evidence of the relationship, which left me asking whether they expected a DNA test.
After all that, they simply told me they would be returning the money, and then stopped replying to my messages entirely. Under UK GDPR regulations, I asked them to delete all the personal information about my uncle that I had shared with them to get the funds released. They did not respond. I also asked for confirmation that the refund had gone through, along with a receipt. Again, nothing.
My advice is to use Wise or Revolut instead. Believe the negative reviews here, because it is not worth the stress. This company seems to profit heavily from fees while giving customers a genuinely poor experience.
Right products wrong Team.
Worst customer support i have ever seen. They do not care about users a bit. No matter how you report issues they will not answer you even tho they claim they reply within "20 minutes" This platform is very worst
Grey is a reliable companion when it comes to international transactions, very reliable and fast.
Your team is a total disgrace. You were responding to every message in real-time until I provided the final document you asked for. At that point, you chose to hide behind a generic "24-48 hour" timeline just to buy time to reverse my funds.
This isn't compliance; it's a total lack of respect for business owners. You saw the legitimacy of the transaction and chose the lazy route anyway. You’ve now tied up my business capital for 5 days and damaged my professional reputation. I will make sure this experience is shared across every freelance community I belong to.
This app is rubbish my money has been missing and 0 customer care
This has been an absolute nightmare.
My sick mother urgently needed money for her medical care, and I was relieved when I found out that my contractor had paid me on September 2, 2026. The money was credited to my Grey account, and I thought I could finally take care of what mattered most.
But the money was marked “pending.”
Grey then asked me to provide documents, including proof of work. I submitted everything they requested. I have done my part. I provided the documentation, the proof, and every piece of information they asked for.
And yet, as of today, my money has still not been released.
This is money I worked for. It is my hard-earned salary. It is not free money. It is not a favor. I earned it.
What makes this even more devastating is that my mother was scheduled for heart surgery on September 3rd. I was counting on this money to help pay for her urgent medical needs.
I have been in tears. I am scared, frustrated, confused, and completely overwhelmed.
What is even more disturbing is the lack of communication. I have contacted Grey through their chat and emails, and I am not getting meaningful responses. I don't know what is happening to my money. I don't know when I will receive it. I don't even know why it is being held after I provided everything they requested.
I am begging Grey to release my money or, at the very least, explain clearly what is happening.
People have real lives behind these transactions.
Some of us budget our salaries for rent, medical bills, food, school fees, family responsibilities, and emergencies. When you hold someone's hard-earned money without proper communication, you are not just delaying a transaction—you are potentially putting someone's life and livelihood at risk.
I never imagined that receiving money I worked for would become this stressful.
Grey, I need answers.
Where is my money? Why is it still pending after I submitted everything you requested? And when exactly will I be able to access the money I earned?
I am sharing this publicly because I don't want anyone else to go through what I am experiencing.
Please, if you use Grey, look into your account and understand how your money is being handled. I am not asking anyone to take my word for it. Use the app and make your own judgment.
I am simply sharing my experience because people deserve transparency when it comes to their hard-earned money.
Right now, I am desperate for help. My family is going through an incredibly difficult time, and I feel completely helpless.
Never trust them with money. I see a lot of 4 star , 5 star reviews here. I would have given them the same review when started. They will operate good for 1-2 months. Build trust with small amounts. and then once you start building a decent volume, they will just take away your money for no reason.
Apparent from all 1 star reviews here. Everyone has the same issue.
These people stole my $698. I did transact with them for 3-4 months and I was happy and I did a bigger deposit via crypto and these thieves stole it literally. I have been following up for 1 week. Messaged on their support email. Spoke with chat support. Every reply is like bot reply.
They give you no reason at all. Just keep saying that they will get back to you with resolution in 24-48 hours
They stole my money which I had to pay to my vendors at very critical time. May god punish the entire company.
Looking at 1 star reviews here, they have stolen several hundred thousands I guess. Thats their business model. Build trust properly for few months. get good review here and then just take away the money in 1 sweep.
I wonder how they get investments and are there investors even ethical or not because if they know grey.co business model, they wouldn't invest ever in it infact they would run away from it.
I am sad for all those people who gave them 5 star now. Those people don't realize yet that they are on same boat as me and their money will someday be stolen entirely too

I wish I could give them 0 stars or even negative.
They are good with low 2 digit usd amounts but as soon as I deposited $195 in my account, it wasn't reflecting.
I deposited usdc - bep20 here

That's my transaction id for anyone to verify on bscscan
It was on 24th. I have been requesting the team to deposit that in my account but these guys literally copy paste messages like bot 'That we need 24-48 hours for resolution. We will give feedback soon' and all bullshit and they will just steal your money.
The company is sham I guess. Literally every person in support team just copy pastes messages while company steals money
This includes Ayomikun, Ifeoluwa, Zainab, Aisha, Beatrice, Adesewa. All of this support person has made my life hell.
Don't trust them with anything over $100. They will literally steal it
And yeah, don't now come and say that you weren't able to find my account. Everyone is support has spoken to me by now.. My email starts with affi*********@gmail.com
I had many urgent payments to do and these thieves steal for no reason. First they will say we are checking.. After 4-5 days, they will give new reason our compliance team is checking. All the things are excuses. I sent them my source of income. Its simple affiliate income. I sent them invoices, payment proof everything.
They will piss you off with these copy paste messages like 'We apologize for inconvenience. We will get back with feedback in 24-48 hours'. and similar copy past replies for 9 days.
I mailed their support. I mailed every email I found on their website. Literally no response. Stay completely away from them
I wish Trustpilot allowed to upload photos. I would have posted all the support screenshots.

I’ve sent two emails to their support team regarding my business account. They claim they respond within 15 minutes, but I haven’t received a single response from them. The only reply I keep getting is, “We still haven’t gotten a response from you.” This is by far the worst customer support experience I’ve had.
