Booked online for medium length hair, one colour and a blow dry. £90.
I have very thin, fine hair between shoulder and elbow length.
Arrived on time for appointment- salon was very quiet only one other customer.
Was not greeted warmly and simply directed to a chair. No real welcome, and no consultation. No offer of a water/tea/coffee etc. Asked what colour I wanted and when I said I wasn't sure, what would they suggest for me was handed the sample book and asked to pick.
Stylist then walked away to work on the other customer. After a few minutes came back, went through a few browns with me very briefly and walked away again to mix colour.
Came back to apply colour - done within 5 minutes. Had not looked at my hair at all, had to take down from a pony tail myself. Only asked after starting application if I had any allergies to dye before (no patch test required).
Once applied, stylist left salon out the back for around 30minutes - sat in salon alone throughout.
Came back and I asked about price as wanted to query how much to add a cut on top.
Was told "you have long hair so £110". Explained that I didn't agree my hair was long to be told sarcastically that short is "cropped / boy hair", short is a bob and anything longer than shoulders is long and past elbows is extra long. Said this was not clear on the booking and I did not agree. Feel strongly that we should have had a proper consultation before starting and the pricing should have been explained clearly before dye was applied.
Colour was then washed out during which I was told to only "use a mask not this conditioner to have nice hair" and implied that my hair was not nice.
Back in the chair I asked for an inch to be cut off the ends before blow dry. A lot more than expected was cut off. Also had more dye than I am used to, following a hair dye, staining edge of hairline, neck and some on cheeks.
At payment was explained to again that my hair is long but I would be given a "good price" as it is thin. Was charged for two items on their system - £75 for colour and rough blow dry and £40 for cut including face framing.
Left salon feeling dejected and disappointed. Implied by the stylist that my hair was not nice, the cut not as expected and pricing on online booking system was unclear. Been dying my hair for over 15 years at many salons and can say strongly this was the most disappointing, disheartening experience in a long time.

Had Lash lift and tint by Parvaneh today. Never had this done before so was a bit nervous but wanted something to lift my small eyelashes and not have to wear mascara. Wow absolutely thrilled with the results, my lashes have certainly been hiding for quite a while but not anymore. Very happy customer will defo be back 😃

Unfortunately I had a bad experience here today. I booked a wash & curly blow dry. When I arrived at 9:30 the stylist had not arrived yet, I am easy going so I didn’t mind waiting. When she arrived, she washed my hair in cold water and did not use conditioner. Again, I did not complain.

Next, she went and sat at the desk while another younger girl began to rough dry my hair. The only way I can describe it is that I felt as though this poor girl had never lifted up a hair brush before. I waited a while, expecting the curly blow dry to begin before finally asking ‘are you a hair dresser?’ to which she replied ‘no.’

I asked ‘who is the hairdresser then?’ She gestured towards the woman sat at the desk who had washed my hair initially. I said I would like her to dry my hair instead please. They were not impressed, and tried to say my hair was ‘too wet’ and it was normal to rough dry it first… I have had many blow drys- it is not standard practice to rough dry it first.

At the end, my hair was frizzy and full of product. The young girl stood watching the entire time, with a sour face, at one point leaning on my shoulder to watch what the hair dresser was doing!

Unbelievably bad service. I will NOT be back and do not advise anyone else to waste their money here. I have never left a negative review in my life, but today was beyond.

This salon has all the gear and no idea.

I unfortunately didn’t have a great experience here. I booked a balayage advertised at £170, but the final cost ended up being a lot more. We spent around 40 minutes discussing pricing when I first arrived, which immediately made the experience feel uncomfortable rather than welcoming.

The hairdresser was juggling multiple clients/tasks at once and I spent most of the appointment waiting while bleach was left on my hair for hours. Despite explaining several times that I needed to leave by 1pm due to having a baby at home, I wasn’t finished until after 2pm which showed a lack of respect for time.

The atmosphere also wasn’t relaxing — loud music and little attention to the client experience.

Disappointing was the haircut, which was done in under 10 minutes and ended up uneven and shorter than I asked for. To be fair, the hairdresser did make an effort to reassure me and make me feel better during the appointment, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the overall experience still wasn’t a positive one.

I was in your shop Wednesday afternoon had my hair washed/blow dry fantastic look. lovely staff . we keep coming back.

Really good service. Had a cut and curly blow dry. Very happy with how it turned out! I wanted my hair to be a bit more curly and she was very happy to accommodate.

Excellent beautician service. Attentive, careful and super results. A nice atmosphere in this salon.

Genuinely the worse experience.
Unprofessional and will ruin your hair.

I booked on treatwell for highlights, cut and finished which they advertised £190.
My appointment was at 9.30am, I showed the “ hairdresser” a picture of the colour I wanted.
She done a full head lights then went to do another clients.

There’s only one hairdresser doing every client’s hair which is unmanageable.

I was in the salon for 6 hours and she left bleach on my hair for 5 hours! She was so rushed between doing my hair and everyone else.
By 3.30pm I was finally able to leave after constantly explaining the colour wasn’t the colour I showed her. They then proceeded to charge me £280. Apparently this was because they had to use more tint which wasn’t explained during the consultation.

My hair is left over processed by bleach which uneven highlights. I had to go to another salon to get it professionally corrected.

The whole experience was draining and upsetting. Highly do not recommend this salon.

Went in today, had to wait quite a while. One hairdresser doing 3 people’s hair at the same time. No one at the desk. Asked if I wanted a drink they didn’t understand what a herbal tea was so I had to describe it. Washed my hair in a colder temp had to ask for hotter water. No conditioner, or head massage as standard. When I asked she said it was a mask intensive one which you just wash in? I called and asked for a wash, cut and blowdry. After arriving they asked can they help and I said my name and that I was there for a wash, cut and blowdry. After the shampoo the apprentice started drying my hair. I asked if they were aware I needed a cut. They said no and thought it was just a blowdry. I asked for a trim but she kept cutting away at it. No clips used just cut all the way round! She said is an inch ok I said yes and a little more if needed but no more than 2 inches. I had to ask her to
stop cutting into it after the blow dry as my hair had been cut from long to shoulder length. I showed her the before picture I’d taken whilst I was waiting and there was a significant difference in the length. She tried to say she hadn’t cut more than 2 inches and would I like to review the CCTV! I tried to leave as quick as I could but she kept trying to do my hair and make it more beautiful in her words but I said it was ok. I was so shocked at the whole experience. I was hoping for a quiet, relaxed experience, but instead it was rushed and confrontational. Unfortunately on review at home the hair is uneven and the front is shorter than the back. I would advise you to be very clear and check every step to make sure they understand before you get your hair done.

Very nice environment, very nice experience. The hairdresser Pari is kind and very professional. This is not the first time i went to have the hair cut. I highly recommend this place. And I’ll take my family here too.

I was ignored when I walked in, I had to force the man behind the desk to acknowledge me.
They spoke in their own language all the time making me feel very unwelcome.
I booked a wash, cut and rough dry for £25, they tried to add an additional £10 for no reason whatsoever.

I took 3 pictures of the style I wanted with my short hair, I explained that the last cut (not with her) had been a poor cut, she told me she would do as I asked.

I left feeling so fed up, she cut my hair so short and tried to rip me off and had the constant lack of concern still talking in her own language.

First and last time I’ll go to Giss.

Pari is a wonderful lady. She had completely transformed my hair from dry n frizzy to smooth and natural shine. I always trust her if anything comes to hair 😊

I had a great experience here. Even though I was the last customer and arrived ten minutes late, they patiently waited for me. They washed and colored my hair with great care. Very professional and friendly service — I’m really happy and definitely recommend them.

Beautiful Salon, amazing Staff and fantastic service .
Had my hair cut and blow dried and was very pleased with results.

I had my hair highlighted at Giss and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. My hair has never looked this healthy and beautiful! Pari was absolutely brilliant – professional, friendly, and clearly very skilled at what she does. She took the time to understand what I wanted and delivered results beyond my expectations. I’m so happy I found this place – highly recommended!

3rd visit today, once again pleased with result. Roots coloured, all over toner, cut and blow dry. Matches the roots brilliantly, very pleased, advised a toner, and the advice was right. Perfect cut and finish, a pleasant experience.

I was a bit apprehensive before, as for the past few years, I have not been happy with my hair cut / colouring,
Pari came highly recommended by a good friend, she did my colouring, cut my hair and understood exactly what I was looking for, feel super happy !
