Check out the boat beforehand. Don't rely on the photos
BoatAuction didn't do anything wrong. They make it clear that you should inspect the boat before closing the deal. But if you're as crazy as I am, you should know that the site doesn't bother to check when the photos were taken. In my case, the boat was in much worse condition than it appeared in the photos

Trustful I receive the money and the people come to see the boat, it takes 10 days in total to arrange a date with the buyer! But everything was good

The speed of response
The speed of response, by email, sms and phone was impressive.
I was in contact with Mandy by text quite a few times she came back to me straight away with answers and help!!
The experience with everyone I had contact with was excellent!!

This is not really an auction
This is not really an auction. The seller does not post his minimum expectation upfront. It's upto them to accept it after the bid. That's not how auctions work. Seems like a fraudulent advantage.

I bidded thre boat same time in same auction duration and won,but the scarab owner is roddicton eu.bv also they made massive mistakes the company owner is dead,the seller is not correct I waste many moneys for proofing and registering g to boat milion paperwork 3 month paid custom duty fee daily , 2 boat i bought 3. Is not allowed to my bid and they offer me higher prices,I thought I can paid but step by step the registration and ownership is malfunctioned whit 1 boat they said they can not help,when I am in NEDERLAND i will find a attorney for open case in court!

Our experience with Bootveiling
Answers and information, which we needed, we received quickly and in time almost always. We are grateful to all the managers we dealt with, especially Mandy Hulkenberg. We saw one problem: our english not very good for enough.

Fake information
Fake information. I registered for a viewing day for a nicely looking boat in October, was notified that it will be December. Then in February the boat was still there, with a viewing day in the end of March. Now it moved to the end of May. This looks so much like a fake bait to me, and the moment you give them your email address they start to spam you over and over about anything unrelated that they just want to sell.

In October 2020 we were going to auction the boat 'Catalina Yacht 30'. Unfortunately, due to the strict Covid measures in Spain, the Spanish owner was unable to travel to the viewing day in the Netherlands.
Because the measures concerning Corona are postponed each time by different governments for understandable reasons, the auction of this particular boat was also postponed each time. However, the owner is still not allowed to travel to the location in the Netherlands.
We also find this situation very annoying and it is absolutely not the intention to have a boat in the auction for a long time.
We are extremely sorry that we did not inform you properly about the current situation regarding this boat. We would have preferred to explain this to you in person.
We also apologise for the other offers we've presented to you by e-mail. Please notify us of your email address at info@bootveiling.com and we will ensure that you are deregistered immediately.
We will contact the owner to see if the boat can be auctioned in May, if not we will remove the boat from our website.
