There was excellent communication, and my survey was arranged and carried out within days. The report was available promptly and efficiently.

I was very pleased with the way my claim was handled. The process was professional, efficient, and straightforward, and I appreciated the clear communication and support throughout. My questions and concerns were dealt with promptly, which made the overall experience much easier and less stressful.

Very disappointing experience. I received a valuation of my 1-bedroom flat at £295,000, which I strongly dispute.

What concerns me most is that there are other 1-bedroom flats in the same building being valued at £310,000, £315,000, £320,000 and £325,000 by other surveyors. This means my property has effectively been valued around £15,000–£30,000 below comparable properties in the same development, despite there being no clear justification for such a significant difference.

I raised these concerns with the surveyor and provided evidence of the comparable properties, including properties with little or no canal view, despite the canal view being given as an important factor in my property's valuation. I also provided information regarding differences in service charges and transport accessibility. Unfortunately, the valuation was not reconsidered.

The £295,000 valuation has a very real financial impact. Because this is a shared-ownership property, the valuation directly affects the price at which I can initially market my share. Compared with a £335,000 valuation, the £40,000 difference represents a potential £20,000 loss on my 50% share.

I was not asking for the highest valuation available. I even offered to accept a valuation of £310,000, which is supported by another 1-bedroom property in the same building. Despite this, there was no movement.

I appreciate that property valuation involves professional judgement, but when multiple comparable 1-bedroom properties in the same building are being valued significantly higher, I would expect a much clearer explanation for such a substantial discrepancy and a willingness to reconsider the valuation when presented with relevant evidence.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this surveyor.
