It’s a SCAM!
It’s a SCAM!! Ordered a dress that was supposed to have pockets, very bad quality, can see through and no pockets at all. Don’t buy from them!!
Scam
Scam, nothing is received resembling the advertised mercha dise. It's poorly constructed cheap fabric.
DO NOT BUY anything from Nancy & Ruth…
DO NOT BUY anything from Nancy & Ruth Charleston. I am more disappointed in Facebook for having companies like this advertising there! Shame on you FB! I will probably not get my refund for the shoes I ordered that look so cheap and I typically wear a 7 1/2 which they didn't have so I ordered a 7 and they fit like a size 8. They advertise 30 day money back guarantee but you don't find out until you read the return policy that there is a $20 restocking fee and shipping that you have to pay for.
If i could give a zero I would
If i could give a zero I would. I never received my order and when i went to track it , I got a "page not found" for my tracking number. Also it makes you think you are getting a shipment from the USA but it had to be coming from China. I have contacted the company and i am sure I get an AI generated response full of sweetness and light and how they are investigating. I made the mistake of just reading reviews on the website instead of digging deeper.
Vera & Lily Charleston is a scam
Vera & Lily Charleston is a scam. I received two dresses and I have no idea what the thin, shiny fabric is. Acetate? IDK, there are no tags in the dresses. They also run small. I contacted the place (through my original order) and finally got an email from Emily saying there is a 14 day return period and you have to pay the shipping to China. I should have known better!! Please beware!!!!!!
Zero Stars
Zero Stars, not one, not a half - zero.
This is a sweat shop from who knows where and a total complete fraud. Material, sizing, the entire thing - absolute trash!
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!
Please be cautious
Please be cautious. The business advertised itself as being located in the US which influenced my decision to purchase from them because I prefer to support U.S. based businesses. The product listing also advertised to be a one-piece jumpsuit. However, the item I received was not as advertised. Instead I received a low-quality super thin see through 2 piece outfit consisting of a separate pants and top which looked like something from the Dollar Store. Additionally, the item was from Asia. Contrary to the impression by the advertising. I contacted the company and requested return instructions and a full refund. The company offer me a 20% refund of approximately $12.00 and provided shipping instruction for their supplier in Asia at my expense including tariffs. The fact that they emailed me the address to their supplier in Asia is what took me over the edge. As a result of this awful experience and scam like practice, I refuse to purchase any clothing online. What I received was "GARBAGE", not even good enough to give to goodwill. I am filing a BBB complaint and working with my back on a chargeback.
Do NOT buy from Nancy and Ruth
Do NOT buy from Nancy and Ruth. Horrible experience. The clothes look nothing like the photos shown online. Sizing is completely misleading — I ordered a Medium and it was huge and very cheap quality.
Now I cannot get anyone to respond to emails about a return. They are also trying to charge a restocking fee, and from what I’ve read, returns may have to be shipped back to China.
Very disappointed. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General for misleading advertising and lack of customer service.
And want to charged 20%restocking fee and now they are offers 70 refund. After I send a complaint to Attorney General
Merchandise was sub par
Merchandise was sub par - they say they are from Charleston - they are not- there is no business in Charleston - i commented on this and they said they have factories everywhere but they are located in Charleston - Maybe Charleston China. When my products arrived they were poorly made and see through - i asked them to get a refund - they asked me for pictures.
Such a hassle - i bought 3 crappy dresses b/c they looked beautiful on their scam website - they are disgusting. Now try to get your money back - ridiculous.
Stay far far away
Scam company from China
I ordered 2 pair overalls with a cute print on sale. In the pictures they looked like they were made with a sturdy cotton or cotton blend. They advertise as if they are a a cute boutique in NC run by 2 women , small business.
The product I received was awful, the material was like scarf material, 95% polyester. Very poorly made and straight from China.
The return policy is a farce, you have to email customer service then they respond back and say you can keep the product and they will refund 10%. When I refused they sent another email saying I could keep the product and they would refund 20%. They will not give and address for the return or give you a refund. Additional in reading the return policy you have to send the product back to China at your own expense. They don’t give an address etc. this is such a scam and the return policy is a scam! Do not purchase from this website or on FB!
Do not order from this company.
I ordered a pair of sandals, they were advertised as a leather shoe, cushioned foot bed, and they looked beautiful on the website. When I received them, they were not in a box, they were in a plastic bag. The shoes were damaged, they are not leather, and the chemical odor was so potent I had to put the shoes back into the bag. This place is a scam. It goes by Rosalia Boutique Charleston. They claim a 28 year history of quality products. I doubt that they would be in business that long with horrible quality products and false advertising. My next step is to report them to the FTC, CFPB, and the State Attorney General’s Office.
This company buys from Temu and charges…
This company buys from Temu and charges you boutique prices for poor quality merchandise. You cannot return items easily and must pay for shipping and fees to send it back to China. This is not a US based company.
NEVER AGAIN-feel like a fool
The dresses were constructed of tissue thin fabric, oversized, with a very poor fit. When the boutique was contacted for a return they requested pictures, a description of item received, the reason for return, and finally a video wearing the item. The boutique then agreed to a 15% refund, or the customer could return the product to China, and, if it was not lost in transit, could await a process of whether or not the return would be accepted and a 'refund' allowed. REALLY? A lot of hoop-jumping with zero customer satisfaction despite an earnest purchase of the product. NEVER AGAIN.
Waste of money
Order took a long time to arrive. The item advertised looked much different than the cheap, stamped-on design. Extremely disappointing. Order number not provided at time of order and no order number with item when delivered. Unable to return. DO NOT ORDER from this company unless you want to waste your money. BUYER BEWARE!
This "company" is an absolute SCAM
This "company" is an absolute SCAM! It is NOT located in Charleston, SC. It is a China-based company pretending to be an American Company. I spent $160 on two pairs of shoes that are not true to size. I ordered a size 10, and the actual shoe was more like a size 8! They are super cheap looking and nowhere near what was posted on their FB account. Returns are a nightmare. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS "COMPANY"!!!
Not Trustworthy
Did not deliver via USPS or UPS. Driver left package in my front yard. The size medium would not fit over my shoulders. Took 3 weeks to arrive. Returns are difficult & need to be shipped back to China at my expense of $30- $50 dollars. No response from customer service despite saying they care. They do a lot of cute FaceBook marketing, but they are a scam.
Absolute garbage
Absolute garbage. Do not buy from this store. It's not what they advertise. Returns are impossible. Sweaters are screen printed and not sweaters at all. There is no real Charleston boutique.
