I recently purchased my first home through Carter Jonas Fulham and I had a very positive experience from my first viewing, through to completion.

A special thanks to Leo who was my agent and main contact throughout the process. As a first time buyer he shared a huge amount of knowledge and helped when I needed, and was very efficient with communication. Leo went above and beyond to try and push things through when he could, due to squeezed timelines, and this really did go a long way during stressful moments.

I spoke a couple times called Catherine at the York branch she is so unprofessional shouting at me over the phone for asking a simple question. Disgusting behaviour don’t even know how she still works there if she talks to people like that over the phone. I will never use this company again.

Great service with a lovely team

Think twice before renting through Carter Jonas. I signed my tenancy agreement and paid the full deposit, yet days before my move-in date they still haven't returned a countersigned agreement — despite holding both my signature and my money for weeks.
The communication has been poor from start to finish, with new requirements fed to me one at a time in a way that has only delayed the countersigning. First, even though my referencing was already complete, I was told to send two ID documents, after which they would proceed with signing and send the agreement "by next week." When I chased, the goalposts moved: now I had to pay the deposit first, and only then would they send the agreement — and suddenly they could countersign earlier than a week before move-in after all. When I chased again, all I got was that they were "chasing the property management team" and "understood my situation", but no actual action.

I had to chase a routine document repeatedly just to get a reply, all while depending on this timeline for my daughter's school admission. I've rented before in the UK with Tucker Gardner and Bidwells and never experienced anything close to this — an extremely frustrating process before I've even moved in. For a firm of this size and reputation, the lack of basic organisation and ownership is genuinely poor.

I'll keep this review open, as the real experience is only just beginning. I'll update it regularly to reflect how they handle maintenance issues and the end-of-tenancy process.

recently completed the sale of Burnfoot Avenue with Carter Jonas and cannot thank Leo and the team enough for their support throughout the process. Leo was professional, proactive, responsive and always willing to pick up the phone and talk things through when needed. His communication was excellent from start to finish, and he consistently kept things moving during what became a complex and sometimes stressful transaction. What stood out most was that I always felt Leo genuinely cared about achieving the best outcome and was prepared to go the extra mile when challenges arose. His advice was calm, practical and honest, which made a huge difference throughout the sale. I would also like to mention Maddie in the office, who was incredibly helpful and supportive. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and she went out of her way to assist with administrative issues and paperwork when I needed help. That level of personal service is rare and very much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Leo, Maddie and the Carter Jonas team to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional and genuinely supportive estate agency. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

We sold a property and bought a property through Carter Jonas Fulham. Leo and the team were very helpful and expertly guided us through the process. We would definitely recommend them.

I'd be positive if I could be, but I feel like a cash cow and not a customer. The previous agents engaged me in rent reviews, I felt like a valued tenant to them and the owner. For reasons I don't know, they were ousted by Carter Jonas last year 'and then the problems started'. 18% rise last year! These agents just assert rises. They set other houses at a high rent, then point AT THEIR OWN HOUSES to argue the prices have gone up. I sent a reply to their rent proposal this year, they claimed my proposal did 'not comply with tenancy law'. They admit market rate for my house last year has come down (the ONS data says so, too), yet they want more rent from me. 'Go figure' ! They like to assert things and don't seem to like you challenging them. Maybe they think the tenants work for them? They aggressively push rental prices for sitting tenants that my neighbours felt they had to leave, and the owner lost thousands when Carter Jonas could not find any renters at the price they were asking, so had to drop the rate again! What a waste. If they'd just had sensible rises, the owner would have ended up with more money and happy tenants!
