Canvia took our money but refuses to deliver or refund
My wife and I purchased a Canvia Digital Art Display in 2018 as part of Palacio Inc's Kickstarter campaign. To this day they have failed to deliver the item and art subscription service we paid for, claiming the device could not be shipped to Australia, only North America and Europe. There are countless other customers on the project's backer forum, who also never received theirs, including people from Canada.
All attempts of communication to ask for the item to be delivered to several different locations around the globe (I have family living in Europe) or get a refund have been met with silence as soon I made a concrete request that according to Palacio would be doable (they offered a refund or posting the item to Europe, but then went silent when I provided address and later payment details). The Canvia frames are now available for sale directly from canvia.art and even on Amazon US. Taking customers' money, then failing to deliver the promised goods and services and effectively disappearing is the textbook definition for Internet fraud.
