Review of ChargePoint

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Horrible Service / No English Speakers

As the Operations Manager for a luxury residential community with over 3,000 residents, I expected a much higher level of support from ChargePoint.

One of our charging stations went out of service, and what should have been a straightforward repair turned into weeks of frustration. I reported the issue immediately, provided photographs, participated in multiple phone calls, responded to every email promptly, and even approved the repair in writing on July 9, 2026. Despite this, ChargePoint continued sending generic emails asking for approvals and documentation that had already been provided.

The most frustrating part wasn't that the station was out of warranty—we understood that and agreed to pay for the repair. The problem was the complete lack of urgency. Weeks passed without a technician being scheduled while our residents continued asking for updates every day.

Throughout the process, no one appeared to take ownership of the case. Instead, I received repetitive template responses with little indication that anyone had actually reviewed the history of the ticket. At no point did management acknowledge the excessive delays or apologize for the impact on our residents.

If you're considering ChargePoint for a commercial property, HOA, condominium, apartment community, or fleet, don't just evaluate the equipment—evaluate the service you'll receive when something breaks. In our experience, after-sales support has been extremely disappointing.

Our association is currently evaluating vendors for a significant EV charging expansion, and this experience has become a major factor in that decision.

I sincerely hope ChargePoint improves its customer service and field support because the current process falls far short of what commercial customers should expect.
