I have been so impressed with Engine Swaps' service and product. The whole process of purchase, delivery and pick up of the old engine block was effortless, I highly recommend Engine Swap.
Please note you should have a decent Mechanic to undertake the removal and installation of this reconditioned engine block. You are buying a replacement engine block from bottom to top, with the original external parts of the main engine being reassembled into it.

It gets worse
After my first review, I have an update to add.

The Adblue pipe was crushed, split, trapped, and bolted closed between the gearbox housing and engine.

This was done for the replacement of the clutch.
On top of this jacking up by the sump pan and damaging the sump to do this work, the oil valve was restricted (complete engine failure)

The glow plug work charged for appears not to have been done in full but charged for (one snapped in the cylinder head by the Stellantis Mechanic/team

This company or branch is a sham with no due care and attention, skill, pride, or accountability for their muck ups. A set of cowboys.

Our complaint is now referred to the Ombudsman.

Our company is now in the process of seeking large compensation for the engine failure caused by their poor workmanship

A rebuilt engine has been supplied and installed by a competent garage and working beautifully.

The New garage and the engine rebuild company have identified the issues and faulted the workmanship and methods by Stellantis Mechanics at Godalming Guildford

My advice is to steer clear of this branch. I am in business and provide MTM products. I understand that Service, product, and delivery.
Stellantis (Godalming) Guildord failed on all three miserably

After leaving our van in the care of Stellantis
Over one month later we finally received our vehicle back.

One snapped glow plug situation was caused by their mechanics and we were forced into paying for this mistake to be rectified and had to hire a van at our cost throughout the whole period of repair. However, in parallel to this, a New clutch was fitted and this required the engine to be supported. In our case, the engine sump was supported improperly causing damage, and the sump pan crushed up.

The report from an experienced family-run commercial vehicle company reported

"We found very quickly on this type of vehicle, that the wood being used in the center of the sump cannot take the weight of the engine and the sump distorts upwards and causes the gap between sump and oil strainer to become reduced therefore reducing the flow of oil, not completely but enough to cause oil starvation to engine parts.

In this case, I believe this is possibly what has happened to this vehicle but because it still had a small amount of pressure, the oil pressure warning light would not have illuminated. I do not understand how this engine has not done damage to the top end of the engine or turbo although I cannot fully check this because as previously mentioned, the engine is incomplete and not running.

The main problem that we cannot understand is that it has taken out the small end of the con rod on the number 4 cylinder which happens to be closest to the oil pump. I have been in contact with two engine reconditioning companies that we use and they cannot understand either.

I can only assume that this has been running for a time with very low oil pressure."

So we are a van out of action and forced to go to the ombudsman.

Our experience is that Stellantis Guildford is not geared up to provide a proper service for business owners and Van owners - A commercial vehicle is paramount to a business.

There are great mechanics and not so great in this world, I distrust the competence of the mechanics at Stellantis Guildford and their practice in accountability. Proven as ZERO hand over more money for the repairs

17/02/2023 - Present Ongoing van worked for a short period of time and then failed this has been a major disruption. Please note the vehicle has been main dealer service for the whole of its life.
