USELESS - NO customer service

On 6th June I purchased three tickets through Skiddle for “Electric Paradise” at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes happening on 8th August 26. I managed to get VIP tickets at £91.20 each at a “flash sale” price. I also paid £17.97 for “refund protector”. I realised after booking them I had purchased one too many in error (my husband died and in my grieving state I bought an extra ticket on auto pilot). I have reached out to Skiddle a couple of times since I purchased them and they say “I cannot get a refund”, today it’s come to a crescendo of frustration I ve followed the rules by then going down the resale road on their website, followed the instructions to the T, which led me to “ This order is not eligible for Skiddles’ Re:Sell service”. ALL AUTOMATED. I have tried to call them and was in a queue which went from 3rd in the queue to 1st in the queue than back to 3rd in a continuing loop and gave up after 39-minutes of clearly wasting my time and phone bill money . I will NEVER EVER buy tickets through them again and do NOT recommend them to ANYONE unless you want to pull your hair out in frustration 🤯 It’s very easy buying tickets but they have an absolutely USELESS customer service in fact, they have NO customer service which seems to be reflective of the state our country is in. There is NO fairness for honest people.

Staff tired and bored

Reserved is my go to in Oxford Circus, I absolutely love the clothes there. The staff are lovely, very helpful and always smiling. However, I visited Reserved on Sunday July 5th 26 and it was a different story. Whilst queuing to be served there were three people at the cash desks, two young men and an older blonde woman. It was a very long queue so I spent the whole time watching one of the young male sales assistance yawning repeatedly and the other (more blonde) barked out “next” sharply rather than “next please” politely and the look on his face quite unfriendly both looked tired and bored as if they’d rather be somewhere else. However the lady was lovely and welcoming. I also noticed one of the young men (the one who was yawning) called over a female manager for assistance who looked as miserable as they did, certainly not a good example to them. . What has happened to the staff there? It doesn’t make for a pleasant shopping experience. Of note, in my working life I have been a sales assistant, in more than one very busy retail store, in London and it’s always best to smile when serving a customer you don’t know if you are the only person they communicate with all day or week. Or even what is going on in their lives. A bit of kindness and a smile goes a long way.

TESCO - WHOOSH. .,,,,,, no show!

I ordered an urgent delivery through Tescos website late last Wednesday with the regularly advertised “SPEEDY DELIVERY SERVICE 🤣 Whoosh” and it was simple and straight forward until the person delivering could not find my address, he called me and I got the gist he was lost I explained my location simply but he didn’t understand what I was saying and I speak clearly and I could barely decipher what he was saying. I walked to the bottom of the close where I live and halfway there he hung up on me. When I got there, which is 1-minute, he had disappeared and I received an automated message saying “I had cancelled my order”. Why in an English speaking country do these companies hire people who cannot speak/understand English??? Please make it make sense.
I contacted Tescos to complain and the young lady was empathetic and helpful but I drew the line when she said “Whoosh is a third party, It’s run by Uber”. NO, Tesco advertise Whoosh as one of THEIR services, the buck stops fairly and squarely with them. She offered me a £20 voucher, as a gesture of goodwill towards my next Whoosh delivery (not going to happen) or grocery delivery from the store. That being said, I have NEVER had a good experience with Uber so not surprised with the bad service. I do not use Uber by choice generally. Why have these stores allowed their services to deteriorate, is their priority cheap labour or their customer?? I had the exact problem with Sainsbury’s and Deliveroo their equivalent service, I hasten to add, I no longer shop at Sainsbury’s because of it. I am now strongly considering just shopping in independent local shops. I say “we need to go back to the little family owned British shops, as we used to have!”.

XANEMOS STUDIOS, near the port, Skiathos

I booked an air bnb for the first time ever this year for my trip to Skiathos (11-16 June 2026), NEVER AGAIN. I go to Skiathos every year during this period to continue to mark my wedding anniversary, on this occasion would have been 34-years this year, since my husband passed away in March 2024. I arrived at XANEMOS STUDIOS around 8pm and was shown to my room (308) on the 5th floor by a man. On entering the room the air was thick with dust which immediately tightened my chest (I’m asthmatic). I suppose technically it would be classed as unclean. On the face of it the room was tidy and reasonably presented. The curtain was drawn and I stepped forward to open it and the man made a disapproving noise and was visually uncomfortable with me doing so. I pulled the curtain back which revealed a window and through the window was a brick wall taller than the window with lattice work at the top, it was approx 1-ft away from the window. The wall was blocking the air flow, there was no airflow in the room. I knew that if I stayed I would have had a massive asthma attack. I told him the room was not suitable and asked him if he had any other rooms to which he replied NO! I then set about finding myself another accommodation which I did and returned to the room to remove my belongings. I did not sleep in the room at all. I left with my belongings, there was nobody in reception so I wrote a small note reiterating the room was not suitable and left it with the key behind the reception desk. I contacted air bnb informing them of the issue and requesting a full refund because for one I never stayed there not even for one night as it was a health risk to me and secondly the wall was not mentioned in the details of the room they were advertising. I believe the advert is misleading. I have been contacted today by air bnb saying the owner refuses to refund my money.

Buying is easy, returning fairy goods is a nightmare

Order #000614944
On 10th May 2026 I purchased a 4 piece garden furniture set from this company for (with discount £135.30) and it arrived very quickly, delivered by a friendly and helpful young man. I noticed a couple of bolts missing and on 14th May I contacted the company by email and they sent out spares by Royal Mail very quickly. set to work to build it, the chairs and table went together relatively easily. I then turned to the sofa, followed all the directions and on the last part the bolts were not aligning properly, I tried every which way and how but to no avail. On 17th May I contacted the company who stated the obvious I.e. loosen the bolts, line them up etc, etc. In the end I decided life was too short, the bolts are made from some cheap metal. I reached out to the company and was told on 22nd May they have no record of my recent purchase but noticed I purchased it in 2019, I responded with “that’s a nice try but here is my receipt!”. On 27th May informed them I had dismantled the furniture and packed it up in the box it arrived in requesting they come and collect it and refund my money in full. I cannot lift the box it, it’s heavy and I have a bad back and I don’t drive. I’ve heard nothing since. I would not recommend anyone doing business with them.

I would not use Bark.com again

I would not use Bark.com again because I used a Plumber from their website who told me his name was Roland (he said he originated from Albania). I liased with him on 9th June and he came to to fit a hot tap on 10th June 2024 (three days before what would have been our 32nd wedding anniversary), when he left (unbeknown to me until too late) he took two of my wrenches. The heartbreaking thing is they belonged to my husband who passed away on 14th March 2024 from cancer. Roland, the plumber, stole them. He admitted to me by text he had them and said he’d return them but never did. I gave him time but never saw or heard from him again and I reported it to Barks in July, that’s all I could do. I don’t know the final outcome. No matter what, I will never see my husband’s tools again and the tap is loose but I no longer have wrenches.

Addendum:

To this day BARK have never resolved the issue, they could not identify the Roland thief and con artist character. clearly they allow any Tom, Richard and Roland to get work and access to trusting people’s homes through their company. I strongly advise people NEVER to use BARK if they value the contents of their homes.

Review of My Plumber

Plumber from BARKS took my deceased husbands wrenches

I was looking for a Plumber to fit my hot water tap for me and came across the company BARKS on line, on around 4th June, before I knew it a plumber named Roland originally from Albania contacted me and I booked him for the job to be carried out the following Sunday 9th June. He eventually arrived around 10:30 and started work turning the mains off and proceeded with the job. He had just started the job and suddenly he informed me he had to go to help his friend who had a problem his passport saying he’d be back at 3pm. While he was gone I realised he’d turned off the water at the mains. I had no water until he turned up at 3pm that day. He got on and finished the job having a little moan that he was late finishing. He did a reasonable Job. After he left I noticed water leaking and called him, he explained what up do and came over the next day to tighten the tap properly. The next day I realised I could not find my husbands’ two wrenches which were left under the kitchen sink, one was small and one medium sized. I contacted Roland to ask him if he’d accidentally picked them up. He kept denying he had them at first, I sent him a final text asking him once again if he could check his van and tool box, he responded saying he had found the medium one but not the small one and will drop it around that week (week commencing 24th June). Needless to say I have not seen hide nor hair of him since. Make of it what you will but the wrenches to this day have still not been returned. It breaks my heart because they were my husband Tony’s who died on 14th March 2024. Roland knew that. Our 32nd anniversary was due to be on 13th June 2024. My husband used to get annoyed when he heard of somebody taking another man’s tools. No surprise, I do not recommend him. I can’t have somebody I no longer trust in my home or recommend them and the one star reflects that.

A waste of money, don’t touch with a barge pole

I purchased to cat earrings that curl around your ear, one black and one silver, there is no way they sit on your ear. There is a bar that is attached through your ear lobe piecing that should hold it in place, no butterfly provided on either earring. Plus, a partly open ring on the top of the back of the earring which presumably should grip on to the cartilage part of the ear known as the Helix. The earrings are too heavy and just fall off. What a waste of money.

Update on SCAMMERS LUENAVX

After writing yet again to Luenavx disputing that I received the items I ordered back in April 2023, they wrote back informing me that they would be refunding 90% of the £30 I had paid for the items. Although NOT IDEAL I agreed to settle as I felt it was better than nothing, but this morning they said they are refunding me £9.02. Clearly they flunked maths at school because in my estimation 90% of £30 is £27🤯

On further investigation I notice the website “ScamWatcher” mention LUENAVX also have a company named LIHOBY. I suspect they have more than that.

IT IS TIME THE AUTHORITIES BLOCKED THIEVING SCAMMERS LIKE THIS when it is clear so many people have been robbed.

SCAMMER ALERT

On 17th April 2023 I placed an order with Luenavx, spending £30. To this day I have not received the items I ordered. I contacted them in May and they said they would resend the items. I contacted them again the day before yesterday and “Jessica” responded at 12.22 yesterday with a copy of a tracking website showing an unnamed couriers tracking record of my package, I confirmed that I had not received it. A person “named Bella” then responded this morning at 04.O1 by saying that “The address we ship your order to is based on the address in your payment information. If your order cannot be delivered to you, it may be because the address in your payment information is different from your physical address, or the address you entered is not detailed enough. The logistics consultation website I sent you is a world-renowned website. You can see from the logistics information provided on this website that your order has been delivered successfully. Now you are reporting that the package has been lost and you are requesting claiming compensation, but we cannot claim compensation from the courier for the package that has been signed for.We can only provide you with a partial refund at this time, although this is not our responsibility and we have incurred significant losses as a result. I'm sorry this happened, after checking with the courier we can confirm that your order has been successfully delivered. If you still cannot find your package, it is likely that your package has been lost. We are very sorry for this. We are willing to arrange a 60% refund for you as compensation. Please understand that we have suffered significant losses”.

It’s disgusting that scammers like this can be allowed to operate. There is a list of complaints on Trust Pilot about this company, all ordering around the time I did.

What adds insult to injury is that I placed my order on my late mothers birth date 17th April!
