Predatory Business - Beware!

This review does not reflect the quality of the VPN as I never used it. This review is of the horrible customer service associated with an unauthorized user setting up an account using someone else's credit card info. I would give them 0 stars if it was an option. I have a son with some challenges and when he clicked on a link while online and signed up for a free trial by entering his email and my credit card info. He was also a minor at the time. He had no idea what a VPN was and never set one up. However, the free trial turned into an annual charge that wound up on my credit card. I never received any notification because the account was connected to someone else's email. I reached out to Surfshark and explained the situation and they refused to do anything about it. Being that the service was never used, which they are well aware of since no VPN was ever established for this account, their refusal to provide any type of credit is unfortunate. Please beware of their predatory business model.

Review of Jenson USA

Very Shifty

This review is long overdue. I have purchased may bike parts through Jenson over the years. I love how they offer major manufacturer's components in "OEM" packaging at huge savings. I'm fine with getting brand new, high quality parts in a plastic bag if it means saving 40 to 75%. This purchase included a Sunrace 11 spd MTB cassette and a KMC chain which I used to set up a fat bike that bought as a 1 x 11. The Sunrace 11 spd cassette is fantastic because it goes from 11 to 46 without that goofy huge ratio jump that Shimano has on its 11 - 46 cassette. Plus, it was a great price at Jenson. The dope red anodized cassette body was a nice bonus too. I installed these with an XX1 derailleur and shifter that I had in the parts bin along with a 30 tooth front ring and I now have the perfect setup. For those that don't know, an XX1 11 speed setup is pretty much the best shifting driveline ever and this one is no exception. Vary happy!

Another Great Shipping Experience

I've used Bikeflights for shipping bike parts and entire bikes many times and always been happy with the pricing and experience. They make getting a quote and label a breeze and their insurance structure and pricing seems to work very well for bikes and bike parts.

Hands Down Favorite Mobile Audio Source

I've purchased so many car audio components from Sonic Electronix and I have always been very happy with them. This time, I purchased 6 1/2" JBls and 6 1/2" Infinity speakers for the doors in my 2018 VW Atlas. The speakers were relatively easy to install, with the tweeters for the Infinty's having plenty of bracket options in the box. I was able to fuse them into the door cards with no problem. Unfortunately, one of the Infinity mid-woofers had a split in the cone but as always, Sonic Electronix warrantied them right away with no questions. The speakers sound fantastic driven off an old-school PPI 40 x 4 amp I had connected to the factory head unit with an NVX convertor and combined with a 10" sub I had and a 700 watt NVX amp I also picked up from them for a smokin' deal this car rocks.

Reply from Sonic Electronix

Thank you for the detailed review and for being a longtime Sonic Electronix customer! We’re glad the speakers were easy to install and that our warranty team was able to quickly take care of the damaged Infinity woofer. It sounds like you’ve built an incredible system for your Atlas! We truly appreciate your continued support.

Predatory Deceptive Scam

This business is purely a predatory scam with limited actual value. They offer a low-cost trial test but buried in deceptively worded and presented fine print they are signing you up for a monthly subscription. My child, who has some challenges, took one of their "tests" during a vulnerable period probably in the hopes of a positive test result but was not able to understand the terms and so unwittingly signed up for a monthly subscription. I realized what had happened 8 months later and when I contact them, they said that they could only refund the last 4 months. There is no way that the "value" of this offering could come anywhere close to the $31.86 they are charging per month. I would trust the numerous negative reviews that come up when you do an online search about this company and stay away. They are nothing but a predatory scam.

OEM Packaging For The Win!

I found the parts I needed at Jenson in "OEM" packaging which means basically a plastic bag with a label stuck to it. Perfectly fine, new parts for around half the price. This time it was a SRAM NX 12 speed cluster to convert a recent used bike purchase to a 1 x 12. I've purchased dropper posts and tires from them as "OEM packaged" before and it's one of the best deals going. Great free air fresheners for the car too!

Best Way To Ship Bikes and Parts

Very straightforward process with decent pricing. You just fill in the address, package dimensions and weight then they give you a price and a label to print out. Drop off the package at the nearest UPS store and that's it. I use Bikeflights all the time.

Such an easy process

Such an easy process. This is the second time I have used BikeFlights to ship a bike and both times it was relatively painless. The first time I grabbed a box from a bike shop and loaded up the bike, weighed it and then measured the box to get a price and it was super reasonable. The buyer was paying for the shipping so I didn't think much about the cost. This time, I included the shipping in the sale price and found that by cutting the box down to 49" x 12" x 29" the price dropped about $90. I was able to ship a medium sized, full suspension bike for under $60 with added insurance! That's nuts. Of course, if the bike has 29" wheels you're out of luck. Still the best way to ship a bike.

Great experience with BikeFlights

Great experience with BikeFlights. Shipped a bike I sold out to the buyer. I got a box from a bike shop, packed up the bike, set up the shipment online, dropped the box off at a UPS store and they did the rest. The bike arrived in a few days and in great condition.
