Poorly designed furniture avoid
I ordered the Ivy silver mirrored dressing table, the Olivia silver velvet stool and the Lillia large LED makeup mirror. The furniture arrived promptly with no issues, and was well packaged.
The stool is lovely and comfortable with no issues. Unfortunately the dressing table looks beautiful but is really poorly designed. The mirror is ok.
The mirror light settings are great providing string natural looking light and it is a nice big mirror. I think it would look better in a teenager room than as part of a luxury adult furniture setting. The mirror base is not great. It looks cheap and is not heavy enough for the mirror so the mirror rocks a bit when I am sitting at the table, as the table itself is unstable too.
The dressing table I would not recommend. First, the drawers arrived with one broken crystal handle. When I wrote to customer services they proposed I could glue it back which I thought was outrageous (luxury furniture anyone?) and on my insistence they sent me a new handle.
Then, the front of the drawer broke a week later. The legs cannot be adjusted so the makeup table does not stand straight on my carpet. The drawers do not stay in place and given the slant of the furniture, they tend to open out on their own. At some point one drawer opened all the way and crashed into a lightweight metal chair I had in front of it and the front mirror panel cracked. I then realised the mirrored panels are very thin, have no edge protection and are not made of shatter-proof glass (there were tiny sharp shards embedded in my carpet, I was not impressed). I have other mirrored furniture that is much better designed.
This happened within a week of having the furniture and I asked for a replacement drawer, but customer services were argumentative and plain rude in their emails. They did offer a new drawer, which I appreciated, but they wanted to charge me over £30 for shipping me a new drawer. Given that this experience already taught me that the furniture is not well designed I didn't want to spend any more money on it!
