11 day Peru trip
Overall the tour was well organized and a good experience. Great Value contracts out the actual tour to a local company called Culture Peru which basically takes over once you land in Peru. The local company is quite good; all their guides and drivers were always on time and courteous.
However, the main negative was that the flights booked by Great Value were just bad. They went with Spirit Airlines (poor choice) probably to save on cost but more importantly the return flight had a second connecting flight but with only a 1 hour layover. 1 hour is nowhere near enough time to go through customs, re-check baggage, and go through security to board the connecting flight. Unsurprisingly we missed our connecting flight and had to wait a whole day for the next available flight. I would have rated this trip 5 stars if it weren't for the unpleasant flight experience.

Airline connection times are actually paired based on criteria that meets the 'legal' connection time as deemed by both the airports and the airlines. That aside, we are sorry that you missed your connection on the return and were delayed returning home. We can understand that this can be stressful especially after an otherwise enjoyable trip.
