Review of Vestiaire Collective
Vestiaire is an incredible marketplace because you can find so many great things.
But the rigidity and lack of flexibility they offer sellers is nothing short of tyranny. I've probably ordered 50 items on the platform and everytime there is an issue. It's such a headache and I always regret it and end up spending way more than the original purchase price because of additional duties and double charged fees.

I live in switzerland. being outside of the EU i am now (according to their logic) subject to prepaying duties. Except these duties are never applied correctly. So i have to pay again upon delivery. This is the source of the headache. I have once successfully recovered the prepaid duties. But its a struggle. There is no centralized customer support that can help me navigate this consistently and also no where to provide feedback for product updates. What an inclusive "community".
In my latest purchase i tried to trouble shoot a delivery addrss with a seller so as to avoid excess fees. For this the seller and myself were blocked from chat for 24 hour periods.
I have been using Vestiaire for a long time. It wasnt always like this.

It is convenient and safe and also much easier than coordinating bank transfers, not to mention cheaper.
It is a vital service.
