Through Reap’s collaboration with Visa, Payward Services is extending regulated card issuance beyond Asia and Latin America into EMEA and Africa. The collaboration brings stablecoin-linked Visa credit card programs to more than 100 markets globally, powered by Reap’s card-issuing infrastructure. Visa now sees $20 billion in annualized stablecoin settlement volume, up 15× year over year. Businesses need compliant infrastructure to use stablecoins for global treasury, cross-border spending and card programs. This strengthens the global reach of Payward Services’ existing cards and payments infrastructure to help partners, alongside trading, custody and liquidity through one integration.

Together with Visa, we're bringing stablecoin-enabled credit card programs and 24/7 settlement to over 100 markets, extending our infrastructure beyond Asia and Latin America into EMEA and Africa. As a Visa Principal Issuer Member in Hong Kong and Mexico, Reap handles regulated issuance, compliance and banking relationships, so partners can focus on product and growth. Nearly 99% of stablecoin payments are dollar-denominated. Almost none of the commercial activity behind them is. That's the gap our founder Daren Guo discussed with CoinDesk. Lo primero que uno quiere cuando aterriza en Barranquilla son dos cosas: una botella de agua para la humedad y un carro con aire acondicionado. Reap me cumplió las dos. Su Welcome Ride me recogió en el aeropuerto directo a una camioneta con aire acondicionado y agua fría. Pero el regalo de verdad fue con quién me tocó compartir ese riel: Kike Fadul Fadul, el GTM y strategy lead de Akua. Una hora de camino al hotel y nos chismoseamos origin stories, hablamos de orquestación de pagos, de cómo se construyen productos en una industria que no es sexy, de cómo Akua pasó de 35 a 70 personas en un año. Yo juré que era barranquillero y resulta que casi y que su vida pasada fue con Mastercard. Me contó de su experiencia emprendiendo con su hermana con una marca cool de zapatos y moda y un montón de temas que entre las correderas de eventos nunca nos habíamos sentado a hablar. Siempre había querido conectar con él y nunca se había dado. Reap nos puso en el mismo carro y pasó. Cuando alguien le pone creatividad a cómo recibe a la gente, pasan cosas así. Gracias Reap y Lucas Chaquea Guarnizo por ese detalle y por siempre ponerle atención a la experiencia de su ecosistema.
