0.8.1: npx works again, open discovery, neutral wording, stdio image - Add a "mcp" bin: with two bins and neither named after the package, npx -y @unblockingapi/mcp failed with "could not determine executable to run" since 0.6.0 (#7). CI now packs the package and starts it with npx -y from the tarball. - Hosted server: initialize, ping, notifications and tools/list answer without credentials so directories can list it; tools/call still needs an account and gets the 401 that starts MCP sign-in. Fixes #2. - Tool descriptions and instructions say when unblock_fetch is useful instead of steering the model away from other tools, drop the bypass phrasing and the editor trailer in find_templates; max_chars defaults to 80k, capped at 140k inside Claude's per-result limit. 0.8.0: pages that fit, hints to complete them, and build guides unblock_fetch returns Markdown by default (a 1.16 MB reddit listing is ~50 KB, so it fits instead of being cut at max_chars), takes a CSS select to keep only what's needed, and reuses the page for 10 minutes so re-reading it with another select or format costs no credit. Every untuned rendered page says that feeds load more with scroll_steps - reddit came back with 3 posts unscrolled and 27 with four steps, and nothing in the page said so. get_build_guide serves guides/ (the REST API with plain fetch, complete pages, templates, and recipes for a rank tracker, a listings aggregator and a price monitor), so agents in any MCP app can build apps on the API. find_templates includes output shapes for short lists.
