…392, v2.x) The v2.x copy of the v3 soak test (PR #519): no transaction writes or retracts two values of one entity and attribute (#371; the v3 workload fails on v2.0.4), no verify(), a memory bound scaled by the fact versions held, and fewer checkpoints and :as-of samples since both cost time in the database size on v2.x. Adds .github/workflows/soak.yml, which alternates main (Saturday) and v3 (Sunday) weekly. Part of #392 (tracker #383): the v2.x copy of the soak test in #519, plus the weekly workflow. Scheduled workflows run from
main, sosoak.ymlhas to land here for the Saturday (main) and Sunday (v3) runs to start. Test, workflow and docs only; no library change.Differences from the v3 test (#519)
EAVT :e4532: 4 rows, expected 7), so the test can see bug: same-transaction multi-valued facts read back as ONE value, differing between EAVT and AEVT; a batched retract can leave retracted values visible #371.verify()(v3 only).:as-ofon one hot entity per check instead of four. On v2.x a checkpoint rewrites the whole file (1.2 s at 2M facts), and:as-ofscans all history (2.2 s at 2M facts, against 0.4 ms on v3).Local run (
--profile bench, 2M facts, 5-minute budget, seed 5): passedGrowth to 2M facts took 252 s with 281 checkpoints. The child full scan took 7.8 s with a 2.25 GB peak. The file is 998 MB. Open from a checkpointed file takes 350 ms. RSS after a reopen is about 850 MiB. EAVT p50 is 53 µs, AVET p50 0.9 s (#518 applies here too), and
