Reproducing the same issue attempting to build with Java 17 (openjdk-17-jdk-headless:amd64 17.0.1+12-1+deb11u2).
Builds fine with Java 11.
Keycloak 16.0.0-SNAPSHOT / main / b03b390.

Changing this to a feature request to support Java 17, as we don't support that at the moment.

@abstractj there are still a few more issues ahead:
I managed to get a full build on Java 17 but a Galleon plugin was failing when building the distribution.
I do believe that we should keep an "umbrella" ticket for supporting Java 17 open until we have checked all the boxes ...

@andreaTP interesting, I could only see the issues reported on #9993 now. Probably it is something related with my working environment. Anyway, let's keep it open, as you suggested. But I believe it is safe to remove the triage label.

@andreaTP @abstractj I'm trying to build the distribution profile for keycloak 18.0.0 using jdk17 and galleon-maven-plugin is failing. Is there any workaround for this?

Sounds like the last hurdle here is Galleon issues, which will be resolved after Keycloak 19 is released as we'll delete the WildFly distribution.
