fix(mctx): suggest close package names on not-found - #1945
norrietaylor merged 5 commits into
Conversation
`min add --session nodejs` fails with `No such package: nodejs` with no hint that the package is named `node`. Suggest up to three close names (prefix, reverse-prefix, then fuzzy) in the error, and point at `min package search` when nothing is close. case-insensitive matches whose original package name differs only in casing from
the request, allowing the error recommendation to use the graph’s exact package
name. Add a test where the graph contains `Python` and the user requests
`python`.

🟡 Minor · Forward inline parameters to the loader. · lib.rs:117-125

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winForward inline parameters to the loader.
When
opts.paramscontains a value,new_for_test_withstill passesNoneas the loader’s args. The loader then injects an emptyargsrecord, so inline source usingparam "name"cannot receive the supplied value. Add the parameter schema needed to convertopts.paramsinto anArgsSet, then pass that set toLoader::new.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

An empty name is a prefix of every package, so every name landed in the prefix bucket and the first three were offered as if they were close.

🟡 Minor · Pass validated parameters to the literal loader. · lib.rs:123
crates/decode/src/lib.rs:123
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winPass validated parameters to the literal loader.
When

The loader then injects an emptyargsrecord, so literal source that reads injected arguments does not receive the configured values. Suggestions are computed from the trimmed name, so padding in the shown name made the message disagree with its own suggestions.
