fix: cap and exclude plain-directory patch sources - #1736
Conversation
A plain-directory patch source (e.g. `source = "~/dotfiles"`) expands to `dir/**/*` and copied the whole tree with no excludes or size cap. Add default excludes for common VCS and dependency directories (`.git`, `.hg`, `.svn`, `CVS`, `.jj`, `node_modules`) and a 100 MiB total-size cap that fails activation instead of copying silently. Also stop emitting a false "dropping" warning for a symlinked source directory: the OS resolves the symlink during path resolution, so walkdir traverses it even with `follow_symlinks` off. The warning now fires only when the walk root is a symlink to a file. Document the directory form, its excludes, and the size cap in `docs/reference/loadouts.md`.
