Summary

Sets up the development environment for CertMagex (an Elixir/Mix library for automatic Let's Encrypt/ZeroSSL TLS certs) and verifies it end-to-end.

  • Installed the Elixir 1.14 / Erlang OTP 25.3 toolchain (matches CI in .github/workflows/test.yml), plus Hex/rebar.
  • Added AGENTS.md with a ## Cursor Cloud specific instructions section documenting durable, non-obvious caveats (offline self-contained tests, first-run Dialyzer PLT build, no committed mix.lock, DETS on-disk storage, library has no dev server).
  • Configured an update script for dependency refresh: mix local.hex --force / mix local.rebar --force / mix deps.get.

Verification

  • mix deps.get, mix compile — clean.
  • mix test — 8 tests, 0 failures.
  • mix lint — format check, credo, and dialyzer all pass.
  • Hello-world: booted the OTP app, verified CertMagex.ip?/1, inserted a self-signed cert and resolved it through CertMagex.sni_fun/1, and confirmed the SNI allow-list blocks non-listed hosts (all offline, no ACME network needed).

Code Review

This pull request introduces AGENTS.md to provide Cursor Cloud specific instructions for the CertMagex Elixir library. The feedback suggests clarifying the certificate storage path resolution by explicitly mentioning $XDG_DATA_HOME/certmagex and its fallback behavior.

Important

The consumer version of Gemini Code Assist on GitHub is being sunset. Starting June 18, 2026, new organization installations will be blocked, and all code review activity will officially cease on July 17, 2026.
For more details on the timeline and next steps, please review the Help Documentation.

To be more precise regarding the storage path resolution, it would be clearer to state that the certificates are stored under $XDG_DATA_HOME/certmagex and default to $HOME/.local/share/certmagex if the environment variable is unset.
