BIN-PACKING SIMULATION

This repository implements a software tool to assist development and evaluation of bin packing algorithms. This is based on the paper

Setup

  1. Download and extract Blender
  2. In ~/.bashrc, add line export BLENDER_PATH=/path/to/blender/blender

Demo

  1. In ~/.bashrc, add line export PHYSIM_GENDATA=/path/to/repo.
  2. Run python generate_packing_data.py .
  3. The generated data can be found in the folder rendered_images
