What I care about (expand)
- Real-time media: predictable behavior across signaling, network, media, and application layers.
- Distributed systems: designing for failure, observability, scale, and operational ownership.
- Engineering leadership: creating teams and technical direction that turn client problems into durable platforms.
- Practical AI tooling: making agent workflows useful through clear boundaries, review, and measurable outcomes.

|---|---|
| ai-toolkit | Reusable skills and workflows for engineering teams, including gated delivery and systems-focused code review |
| Atlas | An ongoing experiment in autonomous product building: connecting intent, execution, evaluation, and learning |
Over 20 years across enterprise communications, telepresence, VoIP, and speech systems.
I currently lead engineering for real-time communications and media platforms at Bloomberg; earlier, I was a founding/advisory CTO at Smart City Media and chief architect at Teliris.
M.S. in Computer Engineering, Syracuse University. Named inventor on U.S. Patent 7,299,188.
A fast component is not enough.
The end-to-end experience depends on behavior between components: timing, failure handling, interoperability, observability, and the people operating the system.
I like working through those boundaries with engineers, product partners, and customers.
