Torrent file and Magnet link handler for routing to programs / services.
KMagMux is a powerful and flexible router and manager for Torrent files and Magnet links. It allows you to collect links from various sources, review them in an Inbox, and dispatch them to multiple different clients or services based on your preferences.
The main window provides a clear overview of all your items categorized into different tabs: Inbox, Queue, Done, Archive, and Errors.
You can easily add new Torrent files or Magnet links by pasting links, paths, or browsing files directly.
A single self-contained file or magnet goes directly to Inbox. Batches open a review dialog, whether supplied through the command line, socket, clipboard, file picker or drag and drop. Webpage URLs keep the review step; extracted list/HTML results also keep review, including a single extracted result. Original local files are kept unless you explicitly select Delete file. Repeated additions remain separate items, as before.
In batch review, check the items you want and choose Add to Inbox, or choose Process... to configure connectors and Queue, Hold or Archive immediately. Processing uses the same configuration dialog as Inbox processing. Cancelling either dialog saves nothing and leaves source files untouched.
The status bar shows current Inbox, Queue, Errors and Done totals, independent of search filters. Queue includes queued, scheduled and held items; Archive is excluded. The clickable activity message still opens the Activity Log.
Inactive tabs show a bold (N new) indicator for unseen incoming items. These
are separate from the status-bar totals. Opening a tab clears its indicator;
arrivals in the ac

tive tab are already seen. Existing items at startup and
unchanged refreshes do not generate indicators. Unseen tracking lasts for the
current application session.
The Inbox serves as a staging area. Here you can see the items you've added, verify their details, and select which ones you want to process.
When you process items from the Inbox, you can select specific destination connectors. Connectors represent the local programs or remote services (e.g., qBittorrent, Premiumize.me, TorBox) where the items will be sent.
Items being processed are placed in the Queue, allowing you to monitor their status as they are dispatched to the selected connectors.
Successfully dispatched items are moved to the Done tab. You can configure KMagMux to automatically archive these items after a certain period.
If any item fails to dispatch (for example, due to a missing API token or connection issue), it will be moved to the Errors tab where you can view the error message and retry if necessary.
KMagMux supports several command-line flags to control window visibility and pass items:
--showor--open: Restores and activates the main window (starts KMagMux if not running).--hideor--close: Hides the main window to the system tray without quitting (no-op if not running).--toggle: Toggles the main window visibility. Starts the application if it's not currently running.[inputs...]: Any unrecognized arguments are treated as paths to.torrentfiles or magnet URLs to add to KMagMux.
KMagMux supports a variety of local programs and remote services via plugins. You can configure credentials (API keys, OAuth tokens, passwords) securely for each service.
General settings allow you to customize application behavior such as minimizing to tray, auto-archiving, and managing new Inbox files.
KMagMux is built with C++ and Qt6/KF6, ensuring deep integration with the KDE Plasma desktop while remaining cross-platform compatible. Passwords and sensitive data are stored securely using KWallet (with a plaintext fallback via QSettings if explicitly enabled by the user).
