Spike AdminKit Free v4 toolchain on a branch and open a DRAFT pull request. Do NOT merge. Do NOT npm publish. Do NOT change license.

Goal

Replace Webpack + hand-maintained static HTML with:

  1. Vite for SCSS/JS assets (drop Babel/@babel/polyfill, modern browsers only)
  2. Eleventy (11ty) + Nunjucks for HTML pages (shared layout/partials; data-driven nav from src/data/nav-free.json)
  3. Upgrade Chart.js from 2.9.4 to 4.x (update src/js/modules/chartjs.js — Chart.defaults.global is gone; use Chart.defaults)
  4. Keep Bootstrap 5.3.x, vanilla JS, zero jQuery

Success criteria

npm install + production build works.
Scripts: build (pages + assets), pages:free, and a dev workflow documented in README.
All Free product pages still exist as templates (12 pages + upgrade-to-pro): index, pages-profile, pages-blank, pages-sign-in, pages-sign-up, ui-buttons, ui-cards, ui-forms, ui-typography, icons-feather, charts-chartjs, maps-google, upgrade-to-pro.
Emit dist/css/app.css and dist/js/app.js (or document new paths).
Convert static/*.html into Nunjucks under src/pages with layouts/partials — extract sidebar/navbar/footer; do not redesign UI.
Leave a stub comment for future nav-pro (Pro edition).
Add docs/v4-spike.md explaining structure and how to run.
Keep packa 8000 ge version at 3.5.0 (do not bump to 4.0.0 yet).
PR title should indicate SPIKE / draft; describe how to run and what was replaced.

Out of scope

Pro pages/plugins, dark mode, compact sidebar, React/Vue/Tailwind, site/docs repos, npm publish.

There may already be an empty branch spike/v4-vite-11ty — prefer working on a clear spike branch and open a draft PR into main.
