Before: a new note sat at the top of the notes tree until someone dragged it under its project or area.

After: a note at the top of the tree shows a "Put inside " chip next to its PARA place, and one click moves it there. Hovering the chip shows why it fits. The assistant sees the same suggestions as could_go_in when it reads the note, and can move the note with update_note.

Only notes that aren't themselves a project, area or archive get a suggestion. Candidates are pages filed as a project or area, and never a page the note itself contains. No model is asked and nothing moves on its own.

How: notebook.suggest_homes scores each candidate page:

  • +3 if the note links to the page
  • +2 if the page links to the note
  • +1 for each topic or thing they both link
  • +1 for each title word the note uses, up to 2. Link labels are left out of the word match, and generic words such as "notes" and "project" are skipped.

The suggestion needs a score of 2. Results come from GET /api/v1/notes/{id}/homes, best first, each with why it fits. The OpenAPI client is regenerated. The docs and DEVLOG are updated, and the # topics item is now marked done because #135 covered it.

A free note at the top of the tree gets the project or area page it fits
under (links between them, shared links, title words), best first with why,
from GET /api/v1/notes/{id}/homes. One click on the note page puts it inside;
the assistant sees the same as could_go_in in read_note. No model is asked
and nothing moves on its own.
