Description

Before: the README said the stream of activities held only new assets and that automations were in progress. Since then #432 to #464 have merged.

After: Automate it describes what is built:

  • The stream now holds every kind of activity.
  • The Timeline page (with Latest on Home) lets each person review it.
  • Automations act on the stream, on a schedule, at a time, or through their own webhook. They test conditions, then act: notify, ask the model or the agent, call a tool or web address, run workflows, pipelines and routines, or change assets and notes.
  • Consequential actions ask first, on the Approvals page or with a yes in chat. Agents can decline an approval but never give one.
  • Each automation has limits and budgets.
  • Agents make, try and run automations over MCP and in the assistant, or draft one from a sentence.

The studio stays labelled planned, as docs/automations.md labels it. In progress adds RSS and Atom feeds (#453) and more condition operators (#434). The docs index links the timeline.

Motivation and Context

Keeps the README claiming exactly what is merged (AGENTS.md, Honest).

Types of changes

  • Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
  • Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to change; ! in the title)

Docs only.

Checklist:

  • My change requires documentation updates, and I have updated docs/ accordingly.
  • Users need more than the title to understand it, so I wrote it under ## Unreleased in CHANGELOG.md. n/a: README only.

  • Honest: built and planned parts labelled as docs/automations.md labels them.
  • Tests, docs and generated files updated: mkdocs build --strict is clean.
  • Open standards; dependencies keep Lens MIT: n/a, no dependencies.
  • Result reported with evidence; "refine later" items written down: in the project thread.

Generated by Claude Code

Automations merged (#432 to #464): the stream now holds every kind of
activity, the Timeline page reviews it, and automations act on it with
triggers, conditions, actions, approvals, limits and budgets, made by
agents over MCP and in the assistant or drafted from a sentence. Say so
under Automate it, with the studio labelled planned as
docs/automations.md does; add the open RSS feeds (#453) and condition
operators (#434) to In progress; link the timeline from the docs index.
