Minimist already parses dotted long option names into nested objects, but the README does not describe this behavior.
Document both value syntaxes, shared parent objects, configuration using full dotted names, negation, repeated values, and numeric object keys. Expand
test/dotted.jswith 12 assertions covering ordinary dotted values, deeper nesting, repeated values, string and boolean options, the README configuration example, and a short alias for a dotted string option. Existing tests cover dotted defaults, dotted aliases, and numeric path components.Fixes #67.
Validation:
npm run lint(0 errors; 54 warnings in unchanged files),npm run tests-only(183 assertions passing), andgit diff --check.
