[Customer Issue] App crashes when adding items to cart #1
Hi, I'm trying to add items to my cart on the Grubify app but it keeps crashing. I get a server error after adding about 5-6 items quickly. The page just shows a generic error message.\n\nThis started happening today around 3pm. Can someone look into this?
Analysis:
This issue matches a known memory leak in the Cart API (CartController.cs). The RequestDataCache allocates a 10MB buffer per AddItemToCart request with no eviction or cleanup. After 5-6 rapid additions, memory consumption spikes toward the container's 1Gi limit and triggers System.OutOfMemoryException, causing the server errors described.
Related: See issues #6 and #7 for full incident reports with timeline and evidence.
Next Steps:
The root cause is identified — an unbounded static cache in CartController.cs (lines 14, 30-31).
A fix to replace the cache with a bounded IMemoryCache is being tracked.
