Flow combines 24 specialized AI models with over 100 billion biomedical data points to help pharma teams explore benefit-risk scenarios, identify evidence gaps, and generate regulatory-grade submissions in hours instead of months and with every result traceable back to its source. In a benchmark released alongside the launch, Flow achieved 96.3% recall on adverse reaction retrieval from biomedical literature, outperforming five frontier AI models (the best of which reached 64.8%). NVIDIA is acquiring Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. Most of the coverage frames it as France vs. the US. From our Paris office, we see it a bit differently. Hugging Face is both French and American at the same time: three French founders and a big French team, incubated a five-minute bike ride from our Paris office, and a company founded in New York, headquartered there still. French roots, American company. The debate keeps trying to sort it into one column or the other. At ArcaScience, we don't see a contradiction, we see ourselves. We're a Franco-American AI company by design, and we think that's increasingly where the most consequential work in this field happens: not confined to one country, but built wherever the best talent and ideas are, to serve the entire world. Open models are foundational to what we do. Building AI for benefit-risk assessment means working with models we can inspect, validate, and stand behind. Transparency and provenance aren't optional in a regulated field, so we're focused on what this acquisition can unlock. Hugging Face's leadership has said it intends to reinvest heavily in the European ecosystem after the deal and to draw more Nvidia investment into France and Europe, not less. A stronger open ecosystem, built by teams comfortable working across borders, is good news for everyone. Is the future of AI national, or is it built across borders?
