Exceptional service from Robin Harper – a real credit to Johnson Holidays
My partner came across a fantastic deal through Travelzoo, and I contacted Johnson Holidays to discuss the booking. From my very first conversation with Robin Harper, the service was exceptional.
Having worked in the travel industry myself for many years, including managing a country house hotel, I know exactly what good customer service looks like. My partner and I are also quite particular about how we travel and like to make sure everything is organised properly. Robin understood this immediately and was absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
We discussed exactly what we wanted from our Italy and Switzerland trip - including flying from Manchester, making the most of our time at the destination, room options and upgrades, and the various arrangements included in the package. Robin was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable, explaining everything clearly and making sure we understood every part of the booking.
What I particularly appreciated was his attention to detail. He sent all the information through to me on WhatsApp so I could properly review everything at my own pace, answered all my questions and made the whole process feel incredibly straightforward.
When we decided to go ahead and pay the deposit, I was genuinely very happy with the service we had received. We were originally expecting a call back that evening, but the team became busy. Robin personally rang me back to make sure everything was completed, confirmed all the details with me and then followed up by email with the booking confirmation.
That level of personal attention is becoming increasingly rare.
Robin was friendly, courteous, patient and, above all, genuinely interested in getting the booking right for us. He didn’t simply process a holiday booking - he listened to what we wanted and made sure the arrangements reflected it.
I actually told Robin that I hoped we would enjoy the holiday as much as we had enjoyed the booking experience, because his service had made such a positive impression on us. We will absolutely look to book directly with Johnson Holidays in the future, and Robin Harper will be the person I ask for.
He is an absolute credit to Johnson Holidays and deserves recognition for the excellent service he provides.
