They put a hold on my card without talking to me and then proceeded to tell me the flight was no longer available and wanted me to give them and other 500$ for a ticket

Please DO NOT book with these scammers. We booked a flight for $354. Then we were called 30 minutes later to say that this flight was no longer available. They proceeded to tell us that we had to pay $125 to get refunded. They stated that it was company policy to pay $125 to be refunded $354. Then when trying to book an available flight, they proceeded to tell us the only flights available were $600+. I have never heard of a company charging you for a refund. This company is a scam and should be charged as criminals. Why and how are they able to legally operate??? Makes NO sense!

Cheapfarespot felt like a complete scam! We paid for our tickets in advance, but at the airport, they demanded more money. Thankfully, my credit card bank refunded my money, not Cheapfarespot. Terrible experience and customer service! I strongly recommend avoiding this company!

Worst Travel Experience! Extremely Disappointed with CheapFareSpot and Air India!

This was one of the worst travel experiences of my life! We booked our flight from Newark to Kathmandu through CheapFareSpot almost a month in advance and paid $2,194.83.

We did NOT cancel our flight! We traveled a long distance from home to Newark Airport, spent our time and money, and waited at the airport, only to find out that our booking had been suspended because the credit cardholder’s name was different from the passenger’s name.

Why didn’t they inform us earlier? If they don’t accept payment from someone else’s credit card, why didn’t they tell us when we booked almost a month ago? Why didn’t they call or email us before our departure date? They had plenty of time to verify the payment!

Instead, after we arrived at the airport, they told us we needed to make a new reservation and pay approximately $4,000 to travel! This is absolutely ridiculous, especially after we had already paid $2,194.83 and received a confirmation stating our tickets were confirmed and guaranteed.

We wasted our time, money, and energy. This experience caused unnecessary stress, frustration, and financial hardship. The whole situation felt like a scam!

CheapFareSpot and Air India should take responsibility, provide a full explanation, and refund our money.

I strongly recommend that everyone avoid booking flights through CheapFareSpot and Air India based on my terrible experience.

I could not even give this company a review. It would be minus minus minus. They were horrible misleading. I told them, I was going to get my money back. They said, no, you're not, I said, oh, yes, I am called my credit card company and they are going to fight it. Don't ever go through this company ever. They're absolutely horrendous, they want you to fly and not take a carry on and not check a bag. What that is ridiculous,

If I could give it a 0 I would.It is scam they get you great price then before I agreed charged my credit card then said flight not available but for additional fee you can go and then your round trip went from $288 to $750 in no time when you decline they refuse to credit your card when in an email it clearly states you will not be charged until you verbally agree.
Do yourself a favor and don’t use this site!!!

Change the price and don't return the money and have higher rate than cheapoair and priceline after make the purchase

If I could give this company a 0 rating, I would. At first I thought it was legit, because they said it was through Southwest Airlines, so when my credit card initially declined it, I said it was ok. But it quickly became obvious that it was a scam. It says on their website that they don’t charge the card until we call to confirm. However, they called us! When we told them that we were declining the charge and canceling the booking, they became very aggressive! They said that the charge had already gone through. I told them “Good luck with that. I’ve reported you as fraudulent and cancelled my credit card!” They said that they were reporting me, and that I would never be able to book another flight anywhere, on any airline, ever again! I called my credit card company to confirm my cancellation. They said it was cancelled, and the company has been reported as fraudulent!

That company is not trustworthy; do not buy from them.

DO NOT book through this website!! Avoid the headache. This agency has false information and later surprises you with hidden fees. Save yourself the stress and do not book through them. Unfortunately, I can't give them zero stars.

This company is a scam. I had a really bad experience buying tickets from them. They pretended to sell the tickets and immediately they call back saying that I had to pay more. They were pushy about it. DON'T BUY TICKETS FROM THIS SCAMMERS.

Do not use Cheapfarespot. I am a fool for not checking the reviews. I used them because they popped up when I was making a reservation and they had a good price. However, they are NOT reputable. The first flight I booked was cancelled out of the blue and the second flight I booked never came through. When I checked with them they said it was a standby flight (this was never printed anywhere on their site) and if I wanted a scheduled flight the price would be 3 times more than the original price.

Scam Bait and Switch. After paying for ticket you are told that promotional fare not available. You are then told to pay the retail fare for the itinerary. Stay Away.

Practices "bait and switch". I booked a flight through this agency. One way from Corpus Christi, TX to Denver, CO for $105 on Southwest arriving in Denver at 7:30pm. I immediately received a phone call stating there was a problem with my booking. The accent of the agent made communication very difficult but after some time , I understood the situation. For whatever reason the ticket was no longer available at the $105 price but was now $280. Or the flight could be changed to Frontier flying out of San Antonio and arriving in Denver at 10pm. If I chose not to accept one of these options, I forfeited the $105 since the ticket was not refundable for any reason and in the fine print the agency reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the flight plan. San Antonio airport is a 2 hour drive for me. The kicker- I could have booked this exact flight directly with Frontier for $39. I was trying to avoid flying out of San Antonio and arriving late at night

I wish i Could give 0 star. I strongly recommend people to book directly and never look up to this website. I came across them through Expedia and got myself booked. Their trick is first they will send a reservation for you not a confirmation, in which they mention they will call you then after it would be a complete booking. But when they call you they will tell you that the ticket that you booked is with flexible schedule and most probably will change, date and time as if people are free. Thereby making you to try booking another flights by charging you extra more than the airlines charge you. In addition to that, you guys can also listen other people speaking other languages but not english as if some scammer station. Then they will just beat the bushes with you the whole day and never come to the point. They will make excuses such as the card is not working, you should contact your bank or will give you other flight options again and again till the time you got your mind screwed. I highly recommend people to stay away from this shitty website.

I got scammed, wanted 120 more to drop me off at a airport 125 miles away. I ask how am I suppose to get to Charlotte, he said taxi.

I had to cancel my credit card to make sure that couldn't get any more from me. I sent 70 emails to cancel my flight. They kept saying they didn't get it. They will hit your credit card later for full amount. They gave called mec6 times a day harassing me.

Fake calls fake talks

This website is a SCAM. You book your flight, and they send you an email that it is reserved and that you will be called to confirm it. They call and then say that the flight is on standby but the flight you want is no longer available and if you want it you have to pay the difference and the upgrade fee which is well over $100. The total cost they were telling us to pay for the flight was well over the amount of the flights listed on the actual airline. Extremely rude and aggressive staff, extremely unprofessional, do NOT use this site otherwise, you will lose money.

I booked a flight for $566.31 round trip which sounds good, no where does it say it’s not a grantee booking, until the email. Tried to book alternative flight to another airport 7 hours away, suggested one way. I’ve booked with third party websites and this has never happened.

Ended up paying in total $1010.
Stay away from this website, go to flighthub, kayak, Skyscanner, booking.com, google flights. They are way better. Highly disappointed
