Hi Gary,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As a small, family-run business, we genuinely care about our customers and believe in being open and honest rather than hiding behind generic, scripted customer-service responses. For anyone reading this review, we would simply like to clarify the facts.

Things can sometimes go wrong in transit. Had the artwork arrived damaged when delivered to you, we would have dealt with it immediately and offered a replacement, as we do when an issue is within our responsibility. Equally, we believe it is important that a small business should be able to stand by its position when the evidence supports it.

You contacted us because you felt the picture appeared more red in your home than it had appeared on our website. We had no issue with you exercising your right to return the artwork and authorised the return.

The artwork was returned to us via a courier you independently arranged. When it arrived at our premises on 1 September, the outer carton was visibly damaged and the frame inside had a corresponding broken joint. We photographed and video-recorded the package and artwork as part of our standard returns inspection process.

Whilst you disagree with our assessment of when the damage occurred, we cannot accept responsibility for damage to an item returned to us in this condition. We have provided the photographic and video evidence we hold, advised you to pursue the matter with the courier you appointed, and offered our assistance with any further evidence they may require. We have also offered you the opportunity to have the artwork returned to you so that you can pursue the matter directly with the courier.

We appreciate that this is not the outcome you wanted, but we believe it is important to be fair to our customers while also being fair to our small business. We will always accept responsibility when something has gone wrong on our side and put it right, but equally, we cannot accept responsibility where the evidence available to us does not support that.

We genuinely wish you well with your courier claim.

That said, we completely understand that everyone has different tastes and expectations when choosing artwork for their home.

We just want to point out... Your picture has two sawtooth hangers securely attached to the back, so no wire is required. These hangers simply rest on a flat-top picture nail or screw, whichever type of hardware is best suited to your walls.
