Pilot: Collaborative Trip Booking & Planning App Arvostelua 

Booked through Pilot for a work conference.

The website is great, UX is well optimized and made booking easy.

However, upon reaching the hotel, I had to find the hotel confirmation number (not to be confused with the Pilot reference number) to check in.

Pilot does not provide this in the booking confirmation email. You have to message their customer support team for it, which made this frustrating as we had to wait in the lobby. One of their most common questions is for this request, so I'm really puzzled as to why this wasn't provided in the first place.

Luckily, the receptionist was able to find the hotel booking number for us.

Pilot please provide this simple number - it will make our lives that bit easier!

The app itself is very useful to me, and it is frequently improved by incorporating user suggestions. Personally, I’m also very happy with the support; if there are bugs, you can speak directly to the developers—something you can't always take for granted.

Excellent way to share ideas with a group. I found the phone app a bit more buggy, and sometimes rearranging the cards was cumbersome, but all in all this is a fantastic app/site to stay organized.

Our experience with Pilot reminded me that you truly learn about a company when something goes wrong—not when everything goes right.

We encountered an unfortunate situation with a hotel that failed to honor what had been promised. Although the issue wasn't Pilot's fault, their cofounder, Yu-Wei, personally stepped in, investigated the matter, and ultimately refunded us **at Pilot's own expense** after the hotel refused to do the right thing.

As a business owner myself, I know that isn't an easy decision to make. It demonstrated a level of integrity, accountability, and customer care that is increasingly rare.

Pilot didn't just resolve our issue—they earned our trust. They communicated transparently throughout the process, treated us with respect, and stood behind their commitment to their customers, even when it cost them financially.

If you're looking for a travel company that genuinely values its customers and stands behind its service, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pilot. We look forward to booking with them again in the future.

I appreciate what they're trying to do with the website, but it's just too clunky, slow, and frustrating to use. Just trying to book a hotel and it's incredibly annoying. "Oops" gets tiring after a while.

Love being able to see all of my plans in one place with links to info that I can share with fellow travelers and family.

Nice consolidation tool for travel plan, tickets, etc. Me and my daughter can share a travel plan, and add the whole itinerary, with pre-booked tickets, daily excursion plans, etc. It makes organisation of the trip incredibly easy and all information between travelers are shared

Went to Amsterdam for the first time. Loved having all the trip details located in one spot on my phone - maps, hotel, air, event tickets. I was able to to go the app and all the QR codes were right there. Also being able to share the app so we could each put in details was a great feature.

His support was wonderful. Went extra mile to support us and getting us accommodated with the hotel.

Easy yet very useful app to organize trips and share with your team.

I travel regularly for both work and for fun, and Pilot really helps me stay organised, ensures I don't miss anything and gives me a constant point of reference to come back to for the various details required both before and during travel.
When I'm travelling with friends, being able to invite them into the trip and see all of the details that I would normally have to send to them in a god send!
Apart from the practical side, the visual experience is very nice and adds a great touch to trip planning.
