Finding the right advisor or board member has worked the same way for decades: personal networks, referrals, and a handful of names that come up again and again. The reach of any given search is limited by who the company already knows, or who their network happens to know. The consequence is that companies end up choosing from a small, familiar pool of candidates — not because those candidates are the best fit, but because they were the easiest to find. The advisor a company works with often reflects the size of their network, not the depth of the market. Meanwhile, thousands of experienced advisors and board members who could be exactly right for the role never enter the conversation, simply because no one thought to ask them. Boardio is the alternative. Companies post what they're looking for, and advisors and board members from a global network of 12k professionals across 120+ countries apply directly. Instead of a search limited to who you already know, you get a shortlist of qualified candidates who actively want to work with you — curated, confidential, and built for speed.

My wonderful experience with Boardio can only be described by my experience with the my interface, Jan Jordan - He is cerebral professional that makes social connection with clients, to understand better their needs and motivations for the services they seek, then friendly guides them to pragmatic options. He is exceptional!

Thanks Martin!
I came to Boardio with a specific objective: finding people who could understand an early-stage cybersecurity company and contribute something other than generic startup advice.
Several of the people I met had relevant backgrounds in enterprise technology, security, and sales. One connection has already led to an introduction within the cyber industry that I would not have had otherwise. I am not yet done meeting all of them and I am optimistic that further helpful connections will emerge.
I also appreciate how responsive Tuomo was. In my personal experience, he was clear on the process, helpful in setting up my search, and sharing/introducing the candidates who expressed interest in connecting.
I can only speak to my request, but I think that for a founder trying to broaden an industry network and find experienced advisors, Boardio is very much worth it.
