As a marketer
As a marketer, creating my own website was never going to be straightforward!
I knew exactly what I wanted and, perhaps more importantly, what I didn't want!
I am very black and white in both my thinking and the way l work, and I wanted the website to reflect that.
I wrote all the content myself and wanted a clean, uncluttered design with no unnecessary imagery, apart from one photograph of me, which I agreed to under protest! The only real colour comes from the individual blog images.
I believe that marketing should be clear and purposeful: no fluff, no jargon and no spending money simply for the sake of it. It should suit the client’s budget, reach the right audience and help the business achieve its goals, whether that means more customers, enquiries, bookings or sales. I wanted a website that communicated this clearly, and I believe this has been delivered.
Rob Davies, from it’seeze Scarborough, has been incredibly patient throughout the entire process. Like many business owners, I have been busy prioritising my clients’ websites and marketing while trying to find time for my own, which has inevitably caused a few delays along the way.
