When I worked at the base, it was known as CFB Medley (sp) not Cold Lake, and the air weapons range was PLER (Primrose Lake Evaluation Range)

Known as 4 Wing Cold Lake now and the Weapons Ranger is know at PLER.--Eloc Jcg 07:15, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wasn't there a treaty with Cold Lake First Nations? A reserve (149 C) as a kind of compensation? --Hans-Jürgen Hübner (talk) 11:32, 13 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Location

The article originally said CFB Cold Lake was 5.5 nautical miles SW of Cold Lake. This is in fact no longer accurate following the amalgamation several years ago of Cold Lake, Grand Centre and Medley (the barracks portion of the base) into a single city of Cold Lake, so I have made the correction. 23skidoo (talk) 01:47, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

My sister and I were born there when our folks were still in the army. Nate-Dawg921 (talk) 18:29, 16 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

There is a vast misspelling in the wording of one of your references...

There is a vast misspelling in the wording of one of your references, and I don't know how to correct it. Please help out.
The following hyperlink is correct, and it works fine. The catch is that in the actual Wikipedia article, it shows up with "Primorse Lake" instead of "Primrose Lake". That is PRIMORSE, which apparently is not a word in the English language.

There is the very close alliance between Canada and the United States via NATO and the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD). Because of these, there has been tight cooperation between the USAF and the RCAF, and on many occasions, air units of USAF have used the air base and proving ground at "CFB Cold Lake", including in joint "Red Flag" exercises with the RCAF. Most Americans call this place "Primrose Lake" instead of "Cold Lake". For one thing, there are too many "Cold Lakes" in the U.S.A., and calling this one "Primrose Lake" cuts down on confusion.
