Mega-list

[edit]

I applaud you for the amount of work going into this template, but I'm concerned that is becoming overly long. It seems like much of this is already covered by Category:Tourism. The "Tourism in:" section in particular could basically grow to impossible proportions since there is no clear boundary for what to include. Perhaps rather than continuing to add to the template, we could figure out a way to pare it down to something more efficient? Nposs 04:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think I will stop here for the time being. Mindys12345 05:03, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Even though a lot of subjects are covered in the tourism categorys, a lot of ordinary users may not think to look there and may stumble upon this template first. Here they could possibly find articles and pages they never thought existed or would never have thought to look up. Yes I think it is starting to grow out of all porportion, so I will stop it here. Thanks. Mindys12345 05:47, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Growing

[edit]

It looks as though the list is going to grow, with or without me. AdamCassar 09:51, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to replace the three bottom sections and combine other tourism templates with this template Mindys12345स्वागतम्! ॐ शान्ति ! शान्ति !! शान्ति !!!

Undue weight bias

[edit]

I have removed the wikilink named Allegations of tourist apartheid in Cuba once again. There is already an entry for Cuba. I do not think that it would be NPOV to give excessive weight to that kind of article. Only the main articles should be listed here. --Asteriontalk 21:14, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Collapsing

[edit]

Would it be possible to change this template to autocollapsed? Its awfully big. Ingolfson 14:37, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it's at the very bottom of each article it should be a problem. A casual reader may not think to open up a collapsed template. If the template is left open it should hopefully be more of an attention grabber and lead more people to other articles that they never thought existed or would not have thought to visit, hopefully this will help lead someone to the right article, that they could possibly expand. Cheers_Ad@m.J.W.C. 03:08, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its an attention grabber alright - on smaller articles, it totally hogs them. Can we at least provide an optional toggle to collapse it, even if the standard state is expanded? Ingolfson 00:25, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is a hide button top right hand corner. Cheers_Ad@m.J.W.C. 02:25, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tourist apartheid limited to Cuba

[edit]

The editors of the Tourist apartheid article refuse to let that article be about anything other than how it operates in Cuba. (See Talk:Tourist apartheid#Expand request and Talk:Tourist apartheid in Cuba for more.) So I'm not sure that it should be on this template, certainly not in the "Misc" section and I've moved that link to be next to the Cuba link -- but I think the link could probably be removed from this template altogether. Ewlyahoocom 10:22, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that someone removed the link completely, who put it back, not that it really worries me. Cheers_Ad@m.J.W.C. 12:10, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List area with left align

[edit]

I just changed the list area text alignment to the default left alignment, from center alignment. The center alignment is harder to read and prevents the groups from matching up nicely with the lists (also graphic design 101 says not to use center alignment for text; it's usually just for titles). Also, with the center alignment, the text didn't use the same centering as the title, making it look a little off. --CapitalR (talk) 01:48, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bed and Breakfast?

[edit]

Shouldn't there be an entry on this template for Bed and Breakfast? Gamweb (talk) 15:51, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, added it under Hospitality. --Funandtrvl (talk) 00:54, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
