I have a geniune interest in languages and language acqusition methods so I’m going to use this page as notes about my favorite resources, methods, books etc - mostly from beginner level resources so that I can use them whenever I need a resource for a language. Shaping this page is going to take some time so please bear with me. I mainly prefer books. Except for a few exceptions, I don’t like studying languages via YouTube, apps, Anki etc. I love to sit in front of a desk and study with a book and audios.

I did a fair amount of researching resources. As a result, the followings look like some quality ones: Nature Method series, Assimil series, The Berlitz Self-Teacher series, FSI series, Linguaphone series, Language Transfer series, Michel Thomas series and Pimsleur series.

A note on knowing French for Assimil series
If you know French enough to use it as the source language, there is a concensus that you will benefit more from Assimil books that use French as the source language. Also, since Assimil is a French company, they have many more language learning books that has French as the source language so knowing French will grant you access to many more languages.
