Great recovery service

I had a few issues with the ordering and the items sent etc, however they were very professional and all was sorted out and I was never out of pocket. Customer service is good and the products sold provide almost anything someone should need

Terrible delivery service

The product seems fine but the customer service and delivery was terrible! There was a five day lead time on the cylinders but it took twenty days to arrive! The cylinders were originally addressed back to themselves rather than my address and had to be made again because DPD wasn't contactable. I asked for special delivery the second time to make up for this mistake and this wasn't done. I also had to initially pay for delivery to NI while mainland UK enjoys free delivery. No offer of a refund or any other kind of compensation, that's the least that could be done. I also received no messages by email and no tracking information until I called several times about it

Failure to correctly quote the size of the item…

Most important was failure to correctly quote the size of the item - no allowance was made for the fact that the pin-secure lock and handle stick out and increase the quoted depth of the cupboard, causing real problems getting it into the building Failure to pass on correct information to delivery firm also caused us some problems, overcome on the day.

Good but needs improvement

Initially very pleased with ordering on their website, easy to use the website, easy to order and allowed me to pick a delivery date, the order came on the date as expected however there is no tracking available, for the price you pay for a safe I expect to see tracking so I know what time to expect the delivery.

The next issue I had was the order had arrived badly damaged to the point the weld had come away from the seam allowing daylight through the safe which made the safe completely unfit for purpose.

When I called safe.co.uk I was assured that a new safe would be sent out and the damaged one would be collected on the same day and was given a date that worked for me, I was asked to email photos of the damage and in response I was told that the photos will be sent to the manufacturer for approval, I was shocked to hear this and began to get nervous as I took this to mean that there was a chance the manufacturer could refuse.

After a bit of back and forth over email I was reassured that the manufacturer had approved the exchange and would send a new safe out on the agreed date.

The new safe arrived on the agreed date again no tracking available, and after looking at the state of the box I expected the safe to be damaged too, fortunately this was not the case.

Moving forward I would like to see tracking available on all purchases giving a time window. It's clear that somebody is handling the safes terribly I'm not sure if it is down to quality control or the delivery company.
I would also say that I shouldn't have to wait to hear back from the manufacturer as my contract was with safe.co.uk
